Mounaragam to Aniyathipravu: Malayalam soaps that copied their titles from classic movies

Family drama, 'Swayamvaram' starring Shanavas Shanu, Pallavi Gowda, and Amala, is inspired by the title of Adoor Gopalakrishnan's national award-winning movie. The TV series 'Swayamvaram' deals with the life of two friends and how their lives have changed after their respective marriages.

Are there any similarities between the newly launched serial 'Gouri Sankaram' and the 2003 movie starring Munna and Kavya Madhav in the same name? Well, the only similarity between the two is that both are romantic tales and the lead characters have the same names, Gouri and Sankar.
