From modelling to mentalism: Manjil Virinja Poovu's Manu aka Yuva Krishna unveils his lesser known side

Malayalam TV has seen many handsome heroes who won hearts with their debut shows. The new addition to the list is Manjil Virnja Poovu's Manu Prathap aka Yuva Krishna. Even though the actor enjoys a huge fan following for his sparkling chemistry with Malavika Wales, not many know that Yuva is a self-taught mentalist and a passionate model, too. In a candid chat with ETimes-TV, the actor reveals it all.

Even though Yuva Krishna is a graduate in MBA, he always craved to be a performer. Initially, the actor tried his luck at modelling and was part of many prestigious fashion shows.

"Arenas always fascinated me. Even though I am a model, I love ramp shows more than photoshoots," he said.

After working as a relationship manager in a magic-themed park, the actor, who always loves to be a stage performer, grabbed an opportunity to be a theatre performer and eventually became a magician there.

"I love to do vanishing acts. It is fun learning them and my biggest dream in life is to host a show," Yuva said.

After being an expert in vanishing art, Yuva has fascination for mentalism and within years he mastered the art. Yuva's social media handles are full of videos flaunting his illusion art.

Yuva shared that it is pure luck for the acting enthusiast in him to make a debut with such a show.

"My character Manu Prathap had all the variations. I got to emote romance, villainy, emotional scenes and even play a family man. I am thankful to the entire team. During the first week of the shoot, it was tough to get a hack of the dialogue delivery and looking into the camera. That's when the director asked me to stay normal and react to things the way I would do in real life," Yuva said.

One of the main attractions of 'Manjil Virinja Poovu' is the adorable on-screen chemistry of actors Yuva and Malavika Wales. Yuva accredits their off-screen friendship for the same.

"Malavika is a great friend of mine. The bond we share helps our equation on-screen, too," he shared.
