After 'Chembarathi', the award-winning actress Amala will be playing one of the heroines in 'Swayamvaram'. She will be playing Rakhi, a doting friend in the show.

Actor Shanavas Shanu can be seen playing one of the lead roles in the show. After 'Seetha', he is expected to be playing Rajeevan, a romantic husband, in the upcoming show.

Swayamvaram will deal with the friendship between two friends, Sharika and Rakhi. The story starts at a get-together venue where Rakhi, waits to meet her long-lost friend Sharika. However, the storyline will take an interesting twist when the duo takes a walk down the memory lane and recall the incident that created a fissure in their tight friendship.
