'He is irreplaceable'

Talking about Khalid, actor Riyas Narmakala, who plays Manmadhan in the show said, "Khalid Ikka's demise is one of the biggest losses in our 11-year-long journey in Marimayam. He is irreplaceable and his void is still in the team. He was a man full of experiences. From performing in Cycle Yajnam to acting in black and white movies, his journey was so inspiring."

'Khalid Ikka inspired us with his passion and dedication'

"We miss him every moment, it still pains. I marveled at his dedication and passion for his work. Though he has a very small role in the shoot and it is scheduled for 6 PM, he will be ready at the location in the morning. He will make sure his makeup and costume are perfect. He will read the script many times and take all our suggestions. He inspired us with his passion and dedication," actor Manikandan Pattambi shared.

'People called him Cochin Nagesh for a reason'

"He was a lot more than what you saw in Marimayam. He was a pioneer among the comedians who started stage shows in Kochi. He has even done Cycle Yajnyam. He was fondly called Cochin Nagesh by people. We all respected him for his experiences. Along with acting, he gave us many life lessons too," actor Niyas Backer remembered the late actor.
