Bigg Boss Malayalam 2: From offensive co-contestant to getting arrested, Rajith Kumar was controversy’s child

Bigg Boss Malayalam 2 contestant Rajith Kumar was undoubtedly one of the most controversial contestants of the reality TV series in Malayalam. He was recently sent away from the house for putting chilli paste on co-contestant Reshma’s eyes. He was subsequently arrested after stepping out of the show. From engaging in ugly spats with co-contestants to getting expelled from the show, here’s a look at the controversial journey of Rajith Kumar.

In the initial episodes of the show, Rajith narrated one of his personal experiences to the housemates. He shared how he proudly kept his word to his in-laws by neglecting his wife who underwent a miscarriage. Soon after Rajith narrated the incident, housemates started criticising him for being a disloyal husband. This triggered an argument in the house and Rajith alleged that it was a 'planned attack'.

Rajith Kumar was seen locking horns with wild card entrant Jazla Madasseri many a time. In one of the episodes, Rajith taunted Jazla by mentioning about her views on personal and social space. During the argument, Jazla argued that it is his (Rajith) strategy to gain screen time.

Also, during the 'superheroes v/s super villains' task, Jazla lashed out at Rajith for holding her. She argued that Rajith doesn't have any rights to touch her unless it is during a task.

During an argument, Rajith called Sujo a 'Pennaalan' (hen-pecked). Annoyed Sujo lashed out at Rajith. “If I slap you here, I will make sure I would finish you,” Sujo told Rajith. He retaliated by daring Sujo to do it.

Later, in another instance, Rajith was seen as challenging Sujo to slap him. However, the duo received the first warning from Bigg Boss for the same.

Reshma Rajan and Rajith Kumar locked horns during the initial days of the show. Reshma complained that she doesn't want Rajith to clean her bed. This resulted in a huge brawl.

Later, in the call centre task, Rajith made a few objectionable comments on Reshma and Pradeep. This created a huge ruckus in the house and Reshma filed a complaint against Rajith on the same in the courtroom task.

During one of the captaincy nomination tasks, Rajith triggered another argument in the house. He alleged that it is 'pure injustice' that none nominated him for the captaincy task. Rajith also complained that the team has already decided to 'corner' him.

During the same fight, Rajith ended up in an argument with Manju when the latter said they don't want a 'bad captain' like Rajith. Later, Mohanlal confronted Manju for her comment ‘the professor's (Rajith Kumar) mindset is leprotic’.

The scuffle between Fukru and Rajith was one of the most controversial moments in BB Malayalam series. After a task, Fukru was seen playing with the door handle blocking everyone. Rajith intended to enter into the house and pulled the handle. This triggered Fukru and he pushed Rajith. The duo ended up in a scuffle and later Bigg Boss warned them for the same.

Rajith and Pavan shared a great rapport. The duo ended up in a huge brawl with other contestants during the coin task. Rajith lashed out at the housemates for taking their game points.

In one of the episodes, Rajith slipped into the swimming pool and got hurt. On the 60th day after the court task, Sujo, Rajith, and Fukru were seen fighting in front of the door. The trio fought to reach the garden area first, to grab a chance to play the task next. While running towards the camera, Rajith slipped into the swimming pool.

Rajith Kumar got expelled from the show for forcefully applying chilli paste in Reshma's eyes. During the trial, Rajith defended that he tried to portray the character of a naughty school kid in the high school task. But, Reshma opined that she doesn't want Rajith to continue the game and the latter was expelled from the show for violating the rules of the game.

Rajith Kumar is making headlines even after exiting from the show. Rajith got arrested over an unlawful assembly at Cochin International airport amidst concerns of Covid-19 spread. On Sunday (15 March), a group of fans of Rajith Kumar gathered in front of Cochin International Airport to receive him.
