The grand premiere of Bigg Boss OTT was hosted by superstar Kiccha Sudeep. The actor welcomed sixteen celebrities from different walks of life. These contestants will be inside the Bigg Boss house for six weeks and the top six will enter season 9 of Bigg Boss Kannada.

The contestants were given a platform to open up about their deepest sorrows and life-changing incidents on the first day of their stay in the house. From Lokesh's struggle for survival, Sonu Gowda's harsh reality behind the viral video, Chytrra Hallikere's troubled marriage, Saniya Iyer's abusive relationship with ex-boyfriend, Somanna's life post his divorce with his wife, the contestants made shocking revelations.

Lokesh and Arjun Ramesh, who was considered the front-runners to emerge victorious and proceed to Bigg Boss Kannada Season 9 bid adieu to the reality show midway owing to their injuries that happened while participating in the tasks. Both the contestants were recommended extra care and nursing from the doctors.

Bigg Boss Kannada OTT got to witness different contestants as captains for a week. Arjun Ramesh, Jashwanth Bopanna, Somanna Machimada, and the latest to join the club is Roopesh Shetty, who emerged as the new captain for the upcoming week of Bigg Boss Kannada OTT.

Bigg Boss Kannada OTT saw some exceptional performances from the contestants. Somanna Machimada, Aryavardhan, Jayashree, and Rakesh Adiga have been voted for their excellence during the tasks by their co-contestants.

Akshatha Kuki, Spoorthy Gowda, Jayashree Aradhya, and Sonu Srinivas Gowda have been voted as the worst performers by the contestants so far.

Bigg Boss house has already witnessed quite a few harsh moments where the contestants have engaged in ugly verbal spats. From accusing each other to locking horns, there have been times when the housemates were involved in huge fights.

Nandini and Jashwanth, who entered Bigg Boss Kannada OTT as couples, seem to be having tough times together in terms of their relationship inside the Bigg Boss house. The lovebirds even got into an argument where Nandini dropped hints about her insecurities to Jashwanth. As the couple went on to sort out their differences, Nandini even went to the extent of telling him to change his girlfriend if he was not serious about her.

Lately, there have been talks about the growing 'groupism' inside the Bigg Boss house. With the contestants getting to know their housemates, there seems to be an emergence of groups as well. However, the housemates have often averred that groupisms are all about comfort zone with one another.
