From Jothe Jotheyalli to Mangala Gowri Madve: Hit Kannada shows that are set to air fresh episodes

After a long gap of nearly two months, Kannada television is all set to air fresh episodes from today (June 1). While many shows concluded the journey during the lockdown period, a few shows have been fortunate enough in continuing the story. Here is a list of shows that will continue to entertain the audience.

Gattimele is one such serial that portrays the struggles of a lower-middle-class family. The story revolves around the conflict between a successful businessman who does not like women and a young girl who is bold yet down to earth. The storyline also showcases the struggles of a middle-class mother who dreams to get her beautiful daughters married to a well-known family.

Mangala Gowri Madve is a continued version of a popular Kannada daily soap 'Putta Gowri Madve'. From little Gowri to Mangala Gowri, the serial has consistently been able to glue the audience to the television screen with its family drama. Rumors were rife that Putta Gowri Madve might come to an end with on-screen character Ajjamma's death. But the makers had a different plot to surprise the viewers. They came up with introducing an extended family of Ajjamma in the serial.

Jothe Jotheyalli is a remake of popular Marathi daily soap 'Tula Pahate Re'. Though the show is a remake, it features interesting tweaks as per the taste and sensibilities of Kannada viewers. The show revolves around the love story of a young lady and a middle-aged businessman who have a huge age gap. The show marks a comeback for actor Anirudh Jathkar on Kannada television.

Naagini 2 is again a remake of the Hindi serial Naagin and will be entertaining the audience with its Kannada version. The fantasy drama revolves around a shape-shifting female serpent who sets out to take revenge from greedy humans, who killed her love for the sake of Naagamani.

Manasaare reflects the beautiful nuances of family and relationships. The story revolves around an innocent elder daughter Prarthana, the protagonist of the show, who has been waiting for years to get the love of her father. All that she wishes for and wants in life is her father's love. However, she is fortunate enough as she only gets unconditional love from her stepmother who treats her as her own flesh and blood.

The story of 'Paaru', revolves around an innocent girl who strives hard to safeguard her loved ones from being betrayed by others. Veteran actress Vinya Prasad is seen playing the role of an arrogant and rich woman. However, situation change when Paaru enters her house as a caretaker.

The show revolves around a chirpy young girl Meera, the daughter of a hardworking woman who works as a cook at Saaket's place. But his family members treat Meera like family. She develops a strong relationship with the family and tries to save them from betrayers.

The plot of the story is all about family bonding. It narrates the contrasting lifestyle of the current and previous generations. Kasturi Nivasa is again a star-studded daily soap featuring some senior artists.

Kamali narrates the story of a naive girl, who strives hard to protect her family members from their enemies. Newbie Amulya Gowda made her debut with the show and has become a household name. The show also has Niranjan, who is seen playing the lead character of 'Rishi'.
