Bigg Boss Kannada 9 confirmed contestant Aryavardhan: Lesser-known facts about the numerologist

A numerologist by profession, Aryavardhan became the first OTT contestant to make his way to the television season of Bigg Boss Kannada. Fondly addressed as ‘Gurugale’ by the fellow contestants, Aryavardhan had been an absolute sport and kept the entertainment quotient high in the show. He turned out to be an exceptional contestant by proving that he is the best when it comes to tasks.

When it comes to making memories and having a gala time at the Bigg Boss OTT house, Aryavardhan had never shied away from being himself. He was, in fact, the first person to shed all inhibitions. His culinary skills were consistently praised by the housemates during the OTT season as he whipped up lip-smacking regional delicacies like Vadas, Paayasa, and even simple rice and sambar.

Aryavardhan Guruji is not new to Kannada audiences. The Guruji often makes his appearance on television in special shows related to astrology and numerology. He is one of the rarest astrologers who get trolled often.

On December 10, 2016, Rajarajeshwarinagar police booked Vardhan for reportedly “outraging the modesty of a woman” based on a complaint filed by a woman in Andhra Pradesh. The complainant came to Bengaluru to learn numerology from him and paid Rs 1.5 lakh for it some months earlier.

The woman found the ‘course’ not to her liking and demanded a refund. The numerologist refused and when she confronted him at his apartment, the latter allegedly misbehaved with her. The incident took place on August 11, 2016, as per the police complaint. The lady filed the complaint three months later. Aryavardhan was also booked for alleged cheating and criminal intimidation. An FIR was lodged after a week and Aryavardhan was arrested. However, he came out on bail.

Aryavardhan avers that he has not studied astrology ever in his lifetime so far. "It is a gift given to me by god," avers the guruji when quizzed about his numerology and astrology skills.
