Before 'Toxic’: The Kannada daily soaps that shaped pan-India star Yash’s early career

Today, Yash is celebrated as one of Indian cinema’s biggest pan-India stars. After the massive success of KGF: Chapter 1 and KGF: Chapter 2, the actor has built a huge fan base across India. Fans are now eagerly waiting for his upcoming film Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups.

However, long before achieving superstardom, Yash went through years of struggle in theatre and Kannada television. As an aspiring actor, he worked hard to establish himself through small roles in TV serials before eventually making it big in films.

Theatre roots and early struggles

Before entering television and cinema, Yash, born Naveen Kumar, began his acting journey in theatre. He worked with drama troupes in Bengaluru, performing in stage productions that helped him learn the basics of acting and stage presence. Like many aspiring actors, he moved to television to gain exposure and practical experience in front of the camera. These early projects helped him slowly find his footing in the industry.

It was on the sets of Nanda Gokula, the actor met actress Radhika Pandit, who is his wife now. While Radhika was already a part of the show, Yash happened to join the show a little later. The duo shared a great rapport with each other and turned out to be best friends. The friendship blossomed into love and now, the love birds are married and also have two kids Ayra and Yatharv.

Silli Lalli

Yash was on the well-known Kannada comedy show Silli Lalli for a few episodes, which people appreciated because of its funny story and interesting characters. Preethi Illada Mele's big break

Preethi Illada Mele, a Kannada serial, was one of the most important things that happened in Yash's early career. Yash played Rocky, a very motivated actor who wants to make it big in the show. From small screens to silver screen; The actor seems to rule it all

It's amazing how the actor who played Rocky in Preethi Illada Mele went from being an unknown to the famous Rocky Bhai in the KGF flicks.
