Shocking revelations made by TV celebs on reality shows

After spending some time on reality shows, contestants tend to develop a bond with their co-contestants and share their feelings with them. There have also been instances where they forget the presence of cameras and bear their hearts out about their struggles, life's horrendous experiences on reality shows. Let's take a look:

2/12

Tehseen Poonawalla

Tehseen Poonawalla revealed on Lock Upp that he slept with one of India's top industrialists' wife while her husband watched it. The political analyst also mentioned that it happened 20 years ago when he wasn't married. He said, "Bharat ke ek top industrialist ne mujhe ek offer di thi ki mein unki patni ke saath soun. Aur uske liye unhone mera pura nightclub weekend ke liye book kiya tha..Saturday and Sunday night ke liye. Aur unki shart yeh thi ki jab mein unke patni ke saath sounga woh usse dekhna chahte hain. (India's top most industrialist offered me to sleep with his wife. For that, he booked my entire nightclub for Saturday and Sunday. His condition was that he wanted to see me sleeping with his wife)."

Shivam Sharma

Shivam Sharma, who is also a contestant in Lock Upp, made a revelation about sleeping with his mother's friend, who was a divorcee. He had told, "There was a divorced lady 'a bhabhi,' who lived near my house, she was my mumma's friend. It isn't dirty because she was a divorcee and I wanted to help with her sexual life. I cook really great white sauce pasta, so I would take that to her house and would have a good time. It's very old news now because this happened when I was in college around 8-9 years ago."

Saisha Shinde

Lock Upp contestant Saisha Shinde opened up about being molested at the age of 10 by a family member. "I was molested at the age of 10 by someone from my family. He was a close family person, wo mere se kuch saal hi bade the, sawal ye uthta tha ki kuch saal bade the to kya wo molestation hua? Kuch saal baad smjhne ke baad maine samjha ki wo molestation hi tha." Saisha had also spoken about being mentally harassed to an "extreme level" by her former boyfriend.

Paras Chhabra

Bigg Boss 13 contestant Paras Chhabra had spoken up about being teased for his stammering problem, and was also humiliated for being bald. In an interview with ETimes TV, Paras shared about it in detail and said, "When I started giving auditions, I realised the most important thing is concentration and stammering happens to people who think a lot and want to express it fast. I think a lot and just blurt it out, sometimes I don’t even think and just say and you know because of it I have landed in trouble and have been trolled also. I started reading scripts during auditions and controlling my breath, speed of talking and working on my vocabulary. Slowly, it got sorted. I think the three-four years when I was not getting work and I was just giving auditions it helped me to solve my stammering issues. I think that waiting period helped me to work on my language, attitude, acting, stammering issues. When during Bigg Boss 13 Bigg Boss would ask me to read the task letter, I would feel proud of myself. I would feel really happy that people are understanding what I am reading and they are liking it. I was really glad that I have overcome that issue. I remember the co-contestants with me in Splitsvilla; they would pass comments that would give work to him, they would call me ‘hakla’. He won’t get work but I feel God is great that I have achieved success in life."

6/12

Arti Singh

Arti Singh's revelation left everyone in a huge state of shock. She spoke about how the servant of their house tried to rape her when she was 13. To make an escape, Arti jumped off the second floor and the incident left a permanent scar on her as she dealt with panic attacks for a year post the incident.

7/12

Vishal Aditya Singh

Vishal Aditya Singh shared that he was molested by three men between the age of 9 and 11. "I developed hatred for men, I could never talk about it. When I told Papa, he beat me up. I could not talk about it the second time. It happened with me thrice - between the age of 9 to 11. I started fearing people and developed shortcomings. I could not trust my father because he beat me up when I named the person who saw it all happen. I could not study. I closed myself. I lagged behind in a lot of things and only played. I liked playing because no one molested on the fields. I hail from a village, and did not study so I could not speak proper Hindi or English. People made fun of me when I came here (Mumbai) and I would not get work."

Rashami Desai

Rashami Desai shared about her turbulent relationship with her family and how she tried to commit suicide. The actress revealed that she consumed poison and tried to kill herself when her family made her feel that being born as a girl was a burden. "I belong to a poor family, rather belonged to. I was often taunted for being a girl and my mom had to struggle a lot. 'Kaha ladki paida ho gayi, bahut manhoos hai, iski wajah se paise kam hote hai' (Why did we have a girl? She is jinxed, we fall short of money because of her.) Even my education was questioned and I began feeling that it was a crime to be a girl. That is when I committed a mistake, I ate poison and called up my aunt to tell her. I did not know my worth, I just knew I am a girl and a burden on my family. I was admitted to a hospital and came out fine soon. Ever since, a lot of people tried to break me, irritate me but I never gave up," said the actress.

Madhurima Tuli

Madhurima Tuli was also molested thrice at a young age by her tutor. Sharing the traumatic experience on Bigg Boss 13, she said, "Main bhi bachpan mein molest hui hoon aur inse (Vishal and Arti) himmat mili mujhe bolne ki. Woh molestation mere teacher ne ki, mere tutor jo mujhe ghar pe padhane aate the (I was also molested in childhood. It was my tuition teacher who came home to teach me. Vishal and Arti gave me the courage to speak up). He tried several times, but couldn't do anything as my brother would always be present. He sent my brother away on the pretext of getting tea and touched me inappropriately. After he did this 3-4 times, I told my mother who informed my father. Luckily, my parents supported me but that incident affected me a lot. I could not concentrate on studying as it would haunt me. I started lagging behind in studies and my teachers would blame me.Then, we shifted to Dehradun and everything changed, I began studying and here I am."

10/12

Shamita Shetty

It was during Bigg Boss OTT, Shamita Shetty shared that her ex boyfriend passed away in an accident. Back then, affected by Raqesh Bapat's actions towards her, she confided in Neha Bhasin and said, "For so long, meri zindagi mein, I didn't allow anybody, mujhe itna waqt laga (it took me a lot of time) to get myself together, to put the pieces back together."

11/12

Karanvir Bohra

Karanvir Bohra shared his life's deepest secret with Saisha Shinde, Sara Khan and Geeta Phogat about being under hefty debt and 3-4 cases against him for not returning the debt. "I am down in the worst debt of my life (sic). Matlab main dhus chuka hoon, waisa waala sir bhi bahar nahi mera...I at least have 3-4 cases on me for not paying money back. From 2015 to now, whatever work I take up is only to return the money or pay back my debts. I feel so sorry for myself and for my family, what am I giving them. Agar meri jagah koi aur hota toh he would have committed suicide. If it would have not been for Teejay, mom, dad and my kids, I don't know what I would have done. For me this show is a lifeline." Earlier, he had also revealed about being backstabbed by many and show he suffered losses in crores.

12/12

Nisha Rawal

Nisha Rawal's feud with her estranged husband Karan Mehra is in the public domain. Giving some details about it, she said that Karan had admitted to her about having an extra-marital affair for the past 7-8 months. He had told me, "I am in love with someone else and I am in love with you too. After opening up to me about the affair, he would go, meet her and return to Mumbai. My mother who was living with me, I hid this even from her. I had to show my child everything was normal."
