Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah's Dayaben aka Disha Vakani once featured in these Bollywood films with leading stars

Disha Vakani is a popular name in the world of television. The actress is loved for her role of Dayaben in the sitcom, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. However, what many might not know is that she was a part of several Bollywood films before working on the small screen. It remains little known because most of the films tanked at the box office and she had only supportive parts to play in them. Take a look at the films she featured in:

Disha was a part of Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit starrer Devdas as well. The actress played the role of a Sakhi in the drama. Since it was a small role, Disha didn't get much prominence in it.

Disha was a part of yet another historical, Mangal Pandey: The Rising. Again, it was a 'blink-and-you-miss-it' appearance. She essayed the role of the courtesan, Yasmin in it. Unfortunately, the film tanked at the box office.

It seems Disha ended up bagging a lot of historical roles in the few films she did before finally joining Taarak. In the Hrithik Roshna-Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer, Disha played the role of Jodhaa's aide, Madhavi, who went with her to the kingdom of the Mughals after Jodhaa tied the knot with Emperor Akbar.

While C Kkompany boasted of several popular names including Tusshar Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Rajpal Yadav, Raima Sen and Mithun Chakraborty, it also had a special appearance by Disha Vakani, who played the role of a widow in it.

Before joining Taarak Mehta, the actress was seen in a science-fiction-romance film featuring Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas and actor Harman Baweja. She was seen in the role of a maid in the movie.
