Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah completes 14 years; A look at 'Then and Now' pics of the star cast and their popular characters

The most-loved sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has completed 14 successful years in the industry today (July 28). It is one of the longest-running shows on Indian television and has kept the viewers glued to their television screen even now. Ever since the start of the show, the star cast has come a long way. While some actors left the show mid-way, many are still a part of the sitcom and have left no stone unturned in entertaining its audience. Here's a look at the then and now photos of the star cast of the show:

Dilip Joshi is playing the character of 'Jethalal' in the show. Ever since the show started, he has been seen sporting a moustache, printed shirts and pants. He still looks the same.

Disha Vakani, who essayed the role of 'Daya', hasn't returned to the show after embracing motherhood. From her innocent comedy to her garba; the actress has contributed a lot to the show. Recently, in one of the episodes, Jethalal was seen recalling Daya and her 'garba' after Sundar promised him that he will bring Daya for the inauguration of his shop.

Amit Bhatt portrays the character of Jethalal's father 'Champaklal Jayantilal Gada'. Earlier, he used to show his bald head but now he sports a traditional cap.

Munmun is playing the role of 'Babita Iyer' in the show. She hasn't aged a bit and still continues to wear pretty dresses. In the show, her neighbour Jethalal has a crush on her and his healthy flirting is unmissable. He tries his best to see Babita's face from his balcony. The viewers absolutely adore them.

Mandar Chandwadkar aka Aatmaram Tukaram Bhide is the 'ek meva' (one and only) secretary of the Gokuldham society. The actor's character hasn't been changed at all. Like old times, he wears kurta over jeans and loves his scooter 'Sakharam'. He often talks about his 'zamaane ki baat'. His arguments with Jethalal over the maintenance cheque still remain the highlight of the show.

Sonalika Joshi, who portrays the role of Bhide's wife 'Madhavi', hasn't aged much. Her 'O Bai' and Maharashtrian sarees are still loved by the audience. In the show, she makes 'aachar' and 'papad' and supplies them.

Tanuj Mahashabde essays the role of Babita's husband 'Iyer' in the show. His style has changed a lot over the years. Earlier, he used to wear light-shaded shirts and now he is seen sporting dark-coloured shirts. His frequent banter with Jethalal keeps the audience hooked to the television screens.

Not much has changed in Shyam Pathak aka 'Patrikaar Popatlal's' life. He wears half jacket, keeps his umbrella along with him and tries his best to find a suitable partner for himself but fails every time. The whole of Gokuldham Society has their best to get Popatlal hitched soon.

Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal plays the role of 'Roshan' in the popular sitcom. She continues to dazzle with her on-screen looks.

Ambika Rajankar became popular with her role as 'Komal Hansraj Haathi' in the show. She wears short kurtis and jeans. Her 'Oh C'mon' added a special touch to her character.

Tapu Sena is surely the 'heart of the show. They have transformed into grown-up adults now. Sonu and Tapu's character was replaced by Palak Sindhwani and Raj Anadkat respectively.
