Roop says, “This day is overwhelming for me as I lost my mother last year. I miss her tremendously today and this is the first time that I will not have her around on Daughters’ Day. However, that doesn’t mean that I have stopped being a good daughter. I am a daughter to my father, who is playing the role of both dad and mum in my life now. My mother spent her entire life focusing on my sister and my career. I don't think I will ever stop being a daughter to her and I want to keep her memories alive. I will keep her teachings alive through myself and make her proud.”

Roop says that although she misses her father, who is living far away from her at the moment, she will visit him only once things are better. “I will meet him once the pandemic situation improves. I want to maintain social distancing to keep him safe,” she ends.
