Here's what they have to say...

Television actors Reem Shaikh and Shagun Pandey were last seen in the show Tujhse Hai Raabta and their chemistry on screen and off screen has always been appreciated. But the rumours of them dating have also been doing the rounds. However, the actors deny this by saying that they are best of friends.

Reem Shaikh: Shagun annoyed me to the core on our first meeting

It was Reem’s mock shoot for the show and the makers had to see how she would look opposite Shagun. She recounts, “I was ready and I saw him combing his hair, so I thought he was ready too. But he took almost 15 minutes after that, which really annoyed me. He is always high on energy and that too, I found very irritating because it was my first time with him and he was constantly talking and asking things. I thought why he is like this!"

Shagun: Yeh toh green tea wali heroine hai I thought

Talking about his first impression of Reem, Shagun says, "My first interaction with her was in the production house office and there she asked for a cup of green tea. I found it amusing and thought to myself ye toh green tea wali heroine hai. Then I saw her on the sets with buns which I referred as mushrooms on her head. Later even when we attempted our scenes, i realised that our onscreen chemistry was perfect."

Shagun: I am very protective of her

Reem’s family loves Shagun. “There have been times when her parents have sent food for me and that family connection is what makes our bond stronger. About our friendship, I feel protective towards her. There are times when she exhausts herself working. In a way it's good but why attempt something which can affect your health,” shares Shagun.

Reem: I hated him for sleeping on the sets

While Reem was always alert on the sets, Shagun used to sleep whenever they got free time. “As soon as we got a break, I would feel like doing something, maybe watch a movie or play some game, but Shagun used to go to his room and sleep like a log! I do not open up so easily but once I feel comfortable then I am the chattiest of all and I like spending time with people” shares Reem.

Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Shagun Pandey and Reem Shaikh

Even if the two don’t meet very often now, they will always be there for the other. Reem shares, “Our bond grew stronger on the sets when we started spending a lot time together. Shagun is someone who puts in a lot of effort for people he likes and the same is with me. We support each other online and offline too! Nothing changes between us.”

Shagun says that this is a friendship he cannot define. “This is a relationship purely based on understanding. Right from solving her teenage problems to making her feel good when she cribs about not having a boyfriend, she is someone I care about a lot," says Shagun.
