Pranit More deactivates his Instagram account amid Rs 370 biryani row; fans react
Pranit More, who is loved and known for his time on Bigg Boss 19, has been making headlines after a video from his recent comedy show went viral. The comedian has now deactivated his social media account amid the controversy. Several popular celebrities have opposed the derogatory remarks made during the comedy show and have also called Pranit out.
The Bigg Boss 19 fame has disabled his social media account after clips from the comedy show went viral. Celebrities like Elvish Yadav, Kusha Kapila, Rashami Desai, and many others have slammed Pranit over the same. Moreover, fans and social media users have taken to Instagram to react to the controversy.
Pranit also issued an apology note on his social media account days before he deactivated it. While many have slammed the comedian, some have requested that the trolling stop.
In his note, Pranit wrote, “I understand the criticism regarding a recent crowdwork clip. The comments made by the audience member do not reflect my views. Looking back, I should have challenged the remark instead of laughing and moving on. That was a lapse in judgment on my part. Live crowdwork often involves reacting in real time, but that’s not an excuse. I take the feedback seriously and will be more thoughtful in how I handle similar situations going forward.
“We’ve also removed the video from all our platforms, as I don’t want to amplify or normalize those views.”
He further said, “I appreciate everyone who raised their concerns respectfully. I sincerely apologize for whatever happened, and I’ll take this lesson forward. I’m human, and like anyone else, I’m constantly learning. Being called out when I get something wrong doesn’t make me smaller but helps me grow. I accept that I could have handled this better, and I’ll be more mindful never to unintentionally support or normalize such views in the future.”
