The Naagin 3 actor, aged 31, has been booked under the POCSO act for allegedly raping and molesting a minor girl. The news broke on Friday evening, June 4. Confirming the news with the Times Of India, a police official said, "It is an old case in which a minor girl had alleged that Puri had taken sexual favours from her by promising her a career in TV serials." "He has been remanded to police custody and booked for rape and under section of The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act," said Mira Bhayander Vasai Virar (MBVV) DCP, Zone 2, Sanjay Patil. Karan Mehra, 38, was arrested by the Goregaon police on June 1 on charges of domestic abuse by his wife Nisha Rawal. The actor was released on bail the same evening. Nisha has accused Karan of having an extramarital affair and being irresponsible towards their child. However, Karan termed these allegations to be "false" and claimed that Nisha is "bipolar" and switched off the cameras of their bedroom. He also stated that the injury on Nisha's forehead was caused by herself to defame him. The BMC's K west ward had filed an FIR against model and actor Gauahar Khan in March, 2021, for flouting Covid-19 protocol. Civic officials said that despite testing positive for the virus she had stepped out for a film shooting. Assistant municipal commissioner of K west ward Vishwas Mote said, "Our staff had visited Khan's home on March 11 and she gave an undertaking that she would not step outside the house. However despite this we received a complaint that she was moving around putting her and others life in danger. Our staff reached her home on Sunday night and initially were informed by her husband that she is not at home and in a flat in the adjacent wing. We decided to file a police complaint accordingly." Comedian Sunil Pal was booked by the police for demeaning the community of doctors. In a video posted by him on social media, Sunil called 90 percent of doctors "demons" for scaring the COVID-19 patients, which ultimately results in their death. Andheri police registered the first information report (FIR) against Pal on May 4 based on the complaint filed by Dr Sushmita Bhatnagar (55), president of the Association of Medical Consultants (Mumbai), after going through the alleged video that was first noticed by chairman Dr Sudhir Naik on April 20. Refuting the entire blame, Pal told TOI, "I have also put another video apologising if anyone has got hurt with the video. But I still stand by my comments because doctors were considered as God. During these tough times, poor people are made to suffer and I have mentioned in the video 90% of doctors are dressed in demons and the rest there are still 10% doctors who are doing their duty to serve people. Shweta Tiwari's estranged husband Abhinav Kohli was caught by the police after a molestation case was filed against him. Shweta alleged that Abhinav used filthy language with her daughter Palak Tiwari in her absence. However, Palak made a post where she wrote, "Abhinav Kohli has never physically molested me, or touched me inappropriately. However, he did persistently make inappropriate and disturbing remarks the impact of which is only known to my mother and I, and if any woman from any walk of life were to hear them she would be greatly embarrassed and provoked, too."
