Pawandeep Rajan getting approx Rs 45,000 per episode to Arunita Kanjilal being paid Rs 40k for Superstar Singer 2; Know how much other captains are earning

After winning hearts with their melodious singing, Indian Idol 12 winner Pawandeep Rajan and his fellow contestants Arunita Kanjilal, Mohd. Danish and Sayli Kamble have taken the position as captains in Superstar Singer 2. The four have joined Salman Ali, the winner of Indian Idol 10, who has reprised his role as a captain on the reality show. All about their stint in the show has been grabbing everyone’s attention since the past few weeks. Recently, reports of their speculative fees as captains have made way to the headlines. Apparently, here’s how much they are being paid for the show:

According to reports doing the rounds, Indian Idol 12 winner Pawandeep Rajan is being paid approximately Rs. 45,000 per episode of Superstar Singer 2. The singer is thrilled to take up the position of captain. Talking about his stint in the reality show, Pawadeep shared, “In the last few months, I've been overwhelmed by the amount of love and blessings I've received. Whatever great heights I have achieved till date, I owe it all to the people of this country. Without their support, I wouldn’t be here; thanks for bestowing your trust in me. I am really excited to be starting this new chapter of my life as captain with Superstar Singer 2 and grooming some of the fabulous young stars that country has ever seen or heard. I am really thrilled to be able to mentor as well as learn from these youngsters. This journey is definitely going to be a lot of fun and enriching with all my co-captains. While friendly rivalry will always exist among us, we are aware of our capabilities as singers and plan to share our learnings and knowledge with the contestants on the show.”

Pawandeep’s friend and Indian Idol 12 finalist, Arunita Kanjilal is also a part of Superstar Singer 2. The singer, who has been busy with music tours, music video projects and more after her reality show stint is accompanying Pawandeep as a captain. Allegedly, she is receiving an amount of Rs. 40,000 per episode for the show.

Mohd. Danish, who was the third runner up of Indian Idol 12 has taken up the role of a captain too. Apparently, the fabulous singer is being well-paid to take up the seat of captain for Superstar Singer 2. As per a few reports on the internet, Mohd. Danish is earning an approximate amount of Rs. 30,000 per episode for the show.

Indian Idol 12’s second runner up, Sayli Kamble, who rose to immense fame with the show is also seen as a captain in Superstar Singer 2. The newlymarried is elated to be a part of the show along with her fellow Indian Idol contestants. If reports are to be believed, Sayli is being paid around Rs 20,000 to Rs 25,000 per episode. Sharing her heart’s delight to take up the position of captain, Sayli had shared, “Getting a chance to mentor the ‘Singing Ka Kal’ is an overwhelming feeling for me. Making this journey more exciting is to be sharing the stage with my co-contestants from Indian Idol i.e. Pawandeep Rajan, Danish Khan, and Arunita Kanjilal as captains; can’t wait to start this new roller coaster ride with them. Also, I am extremely glad to be working with the talented Salman Ali, who has inspired me immensely. I have witnessed his struggle and seen how he has established himself as one of the best vocalists of his generation and I am glad to have got this chance to not only compete but also learn from him. I am all geared up to encourage young kids in an appropriate direction and instil confidence in their singing.”

Indian Idol 10 winner Salman Ali, who has continued his captaincy in season 2 after a successful stint in Superstar Singer 1, is apparently the most paid captain of the show. Salman, who is the only captain from the first season, to have joined the show is allegedly being paid Rs. 50,000 per episode.

The second season of Superstar Singer went on air on April 23. The show had a grand opening and won hearts and praises for the high does of entertainment that it provided the audience with. Superstar Singer 2 has brought some of the most talented young singers from all around the nation to the stage. It is being hosted by Aditya Narayan. Meanwhile, Alka Yagnik, Himesh Reshammiya and Javed Ali have taken up the seats of judges on the show.
