Sources from the entertainment industry have exclusively informed ETimes TV that Neela Film Productions may issue a formal legal notice to an artist from the long-running series Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah for breach of contract. Palak Sindhwani, who plays Sonu Bhide, is rumored to be involved. Allegedly, she has violated key terms of her exclusive artist agreement, potentially damaging the show and the production house.

It is believed that the legal notice may relate to Palak Sindhwani engaging in third-party endorsements and public appearances without the required written consent from the production house. These actions are said to have breached the exclusivity clause in her contract, affecting both her character and the show. The production house had reportedly warned her before considering legal action.

Palak Sindhwani joined Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah in 2019, taking over the role of Sonu Bhide from Nidhi Bhanushali. Since then, she has won the hearts of viewers and developed a close bond with her co-stars, especially her on-screen parents, Sonalika Joshi and Mandar Chandwadkar.

Palak's casting in the show came after the same director who cast her in Hostages was searching for a replacement for Nidhi Bhanushali. After a lengthy audition process, Palak was finally selected. She fondly recalled the moment, "Myself, my mother, father and brother were seated at the conference when he broke the news that I’m finalised. The casting director said I will go and get the contract ready and as he left the conference room. My father turned towards me and asked me if I had bagged a job at their office as he was unaware of my passion for acting. All three of us smiled at his question and explained to him that I’ll be seen in the show as Sonu Bhide."

In April, Palak celebrated her 26th birthday by purchasing her first car. Though it wasn’t extravagant, the car held special meaning for her and her family. She expressed that making her loved ones happy is her greatest joy.

Reflecting on her television debut on August 27, 2019, Palak expressed immense gratitude for her journey. She shared a heartfelt note, thanking fans for their love and support while expressing excitement for her future in the industry.
