Katha Ankahee garnered a lot of love for being a story onscreen which was different from the daily soaps. In no time, fans were extremely attached to the show and had found a new jodi to admire with Aditi Sharma and Adnan Khan playing Katha and Viaan. However, the show is set to go off-air on December 1st. Netizens jot down the reasons that made the show go off-air according to them.
It was hard to accept the love triangle for viewers
The show was quite strong with its storyline during Katha and Viaan's initial romance. However, with adding the new twist to the show makers got Manish Raisinghan as the new love interest in Katha's life. A user wrote, " And @manishmischief you are a wonderful human being. The fact that we are so addicted to katha viaan it was hard to accept 3rd angle that too after an unexpected separation. But you really respect fan's emotions."
Fans wish the extension would have been for 6 months
Netizens had begun trending 'Extend Katha Ankahee' soon after the news of its wrap-up got out. Fans wished that the show could have at least lasted for 6 months more. Even the cast members wished the same however, Adnan had an interesting observation. A user wrote, "So Samar feels the show should’ve been extended six months more but I agree with Adnan about not wanting an extension. The leap was not needed
The short leap of 8 months was not needed according to the fans. However, Aditi had exclusively shared with ETimes TV, "We are going to take the story 8 months forward. I had my issues, to be honest, but I feel if you think from the channel and production's point of view then to push the story ahead we had to create some drama. That is why we are trying to create more drama and trying to give life to the show with a new story with something nice and new." However, fans didn't like the track and also sent messages to the cast reacting to the storyline.
Separation ruined its essence
Netizens felt that the separation between Katha and Viaan after reaching the peak of romance ruined the love story's essence. Adding the love triangle created more confusion. However, when the element of negative and positive characters entered during the wedding sequence, fans weren't up for it.
