Actor Naman Shaw, currently seen as Adit Saxena in Mangal Lakshmi just returned from a fun-filled Maldives getaway with family and friends.
The trip was a quick breather planned around his shoot schedule. “We planned it a month back for the kids’ vacation. We picked the Maldives because I had a shoot in four days. It was the quickest way to get a real break,” Naman shares.
He flew out with his wife, son Krivaan, and two other family friend. For an actor playing a layered, grey character daily, does a vacation help or hurt the rhythm? Naman says, “For me, stepping away actually helps. When you’re playing a character every day, it’s easy to get stuck in a routine. A short break allows you to return with fresh energy and sometimes even discover new layers to the character. The first day back takes a little adjustment, but after that, it feels natural again.”
Vacations are rare in the TV world, and full disconnection is even rarer. Naman admits he couldn’t switch off completely. “I tried my best to disconnect, but in our profession, it’s never completely possible. I did receive a few scenes that I had to do dubbing for, but I made a conscious effort to limit work-related conversations and focus on enjoying the break.”
Naman has been part of shows like Kasamh Se, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Kairi — Rishta Khatta Meetha, and Tashan-e-Ishq.
