Mukesh Khanna starrer TV show Shaktimaan to come on big screen; watch film announcement teaser

Indian superhero television show that aired from 13 September 1997 to 27 March 2005, is all set to get a movie adaptation.Mukesh Khanna, whose name is synonymous with Shaktimaan, and became India’s favourite superhero in the 90s, is going to produce. The film is being helmed under his production banner.Film analyst Taran Adarsh shared the teaser of the film announcement and it looks massive.Last year, actor Mukesh Khanna did announce that a film is being made and it’s going to be a trilogy. Here’s what Taran wrote about the upcoming film, “THE ICONIC 'SHAKTIMAAN' TO THE BIG SCREEN...This time, #Shaktimaan will be made for *cinemas*. Will be a trilogy. One of #India’s major superstars will enact the title role. A top name will direct.”A look at the film announcement:Talking about the television series, it ran for 8 years, with Mukesh Khanna playing the titular role. Actors like Vaishnavi, Kitu Gidwani, Tom Alter, Shikha Swaroop, Ganjendra Chauhan and many others were a part of the show.Shaktimaan has superhuman powers that lie inside his body in his seven chakras of Kundalini attained through meditation. Shaktimaan worships God through the symbol Om. Truthfulness is his motto.Weekends were definitely made for this show as all kids would eagerly wait to see their favourite superhero on-screen. The show was aired on several other Indian TV channels in various languages.
