Most watched TV shows of 2018

While there are many small screen shows that were taken off air this year, there were others which continued their long run or struck a chord with the audience in no time. Here's looking at the most watched TV shows of 2018:

2/9

Naagin 3

Supernatural thriller Naagin 3 has been a chart topper ever since it went on air. While the urban viewers shun such shows, its ratings tell another tale. It has been widely enjoyed by the viewers due to its mystery and suspense element.

3/9

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is one of the longest running shows on television and continues to enjoy the love of the viewers. Kartik and Naira's jodi is quite popular and their chemistry keeps the audiences hooked. The show has larger than life set and elaborate costumes which serve as a visual treat.

4/9

Kundali Bhagya

Spin off of Kumkum Bhagya, this family drama has done exceptionally well this year. Karan (Dheeraj Dhoopar) and Preeta's (Shraddha Arya) intriguing love story and the several twists and turns in its tale are some of the reasons why the show is doing so well on the TRP front.

5/9

Kumkum Bhagya

Kumkum Bhagya is again a top favourite among the viewers. Even though some of its plot lines haven't worked so well this year, the show continues to be a hit duo to its lead pair - Abhi (Shabir Ahluwalia) and Pragya (Sriti Jha).

6/9

Kulfi Kumar Bajewala

It is the gripping storyline of the show which has managed to strike a chord with the audience. In no time, it has been one of the most watched shows this year. It stars Mohit Malik, Anjali Anand, Aakriti Sharma, Myra Singh and Vishal Aditya Singh in key roles.

7/9

Ishq Subhan Allah

The show was launched in March and climbed the popularity charts in a short span. Zara (Eisha Singh) and Kabeer's (Adnan Khan) conflicting views on religion, is what drives the story. It is also a departure from the conventional shows on TV.

8/9

Yeh Hai Mohabbatein

Yeh Hai Mohabbatein is another long running show which has done well in terms of numbers. Raman (Karan Patel) and Ishita (Divyanka Tripathi) are one of TV's most favourite couple. The love-hate relationship the two share on the show keeps the viewers glued to the screens.

9/9

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah

Sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is a family entertainer and one of its kind on the small screen. The show imparts a valuable lesson at the end of its weekly plot and is loved by audiences of all age groups.
