Moose Jattana to Himanshi; TV celebs welcome PM Modi's decision of repealing Farm Laws

On Friday, November 19, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation and announced that the Government has decided to repeal the three Farm Laws made by them last year. This announcement coincided with the holy occasion of Guru Purab. There are mixed reactions from the television celebrities over this decision. While some call it to be mere "politics" and some are just celebrating this decision. For the unversed, the farmers had been protesting and were encamped at Delhi's border since November 2020 with a demand that the Farmer's Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, Farmers' (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance And Farm Services Act , 2020 and Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020 be rolled back and a new law made to guarantee MSP for crops. Himanshi Khurana

Punjabi actress and former Bigg Boss 13 contestant, Himanshi Khurana supported the farmers by being a part of this protest, serving food and voicing her opinions on public platforms. She is relieved and happy about this decision taken by the Government. She made a post on her Instagram in Punjabi that translates to: "At last, we the farmers, have won. Many congratulations to everyone. It's a gift to us on the occasion of Guru Purab."

Vindu Dara Singh

Vindu Dara Singh is happy with this decision made by the Government and posted a picture of his father with the stalwarts of Bollywood and wrote: "What a beautiful day in history 3 farm laws will be repealed thank you @narendramodi ji , #HappyGurpurab 552 Birth anniversary of #GuruNanakDevJi and #HappybirthdayDaraSingh ji (sic)"

Rithvik Dhanjani

Bigg Boss OTT contestant Moose Jattana was actively involved in the farmers' protest and was confident that the laws would have to be repealed. Moose shared those videos and photos from the protest on her Instagram story and expressed that she feels overwhelmed by this decision taken by the government.
