We had thought of announcing it earlier but taking advice from the doctors and elders, we decided to wait for three months.”

Dipika suffered a miscarriage last year

The couple had been trying to get pregnant. Shoaib revealed, “Many of you don’t know that last year in February, she suffered a miscarriage in the 6th week of pregnancy.” Dipika added, “Because of that we were a bit scared this time and I am sure all of you would understand that. It’s not just us, many go through this.” Shoaib shared that while people had started commenting about her getting fat, Dipika’s health had deteriorated because of the miscarriage.

How Dipika announced it to Shoaib

Shoaib said, “I was shooting in Chandivali. Dipika called me and said she is sending a photo. So she sent a photo of the test and I told her to stay calm. Because we had been through it.” Dipika shared, “We were happy but so scared that even to celebrate that moment there was a bit of hesitation. I had a strong feeling that it would happen this time. We were very careful this time.” Shoaib shared that he had advised her not to inform his mother because she had taken it to heart. “We told Ammi after 15-20 days,” said Shoaib.

The reason to buy a new car

Shoaib and Dipika recently bought a new car and the reason was for her health. Shoaib said, “The doctor had advised Dipika complete bed rest. The doctor told her to step out only in extreme emergency and the car should be at minimum speed and less jerking. That’s the reason we changed our car and got a high-end one.”

How they revealed the news to the family

Dipika shared, “Ammi kind of felt it. Obviously, she is a mother. I am always very energetic. But for a few days I was low on energy. Everybody doubted. But neither could they ask us nor were we confirming. One day Shoaib was just about to tell Ammi and she reacted, ‘No don’t tell us now’. Everyone was scared and it was natural. But with everyone’s blessings, we are doing fine.”
