Karan shares, “Yes, I have joined the cast and commenced the shoot. I am excited about playing a positive character after playing a negative one in my last show. I feel fortunate that I haven’t been typecast in any shade or character. Grey characters certainly have more potential for you to explore as an actor, but I feel putting yourself across in a simple, positive way, which is impactful at the same time, is also quite challenging. I am glad to get this opportunity and move away from my negative image.”
Ask him about his absence from TV for six months and he replies, “I haven’t been away from the small screen. I am in talks for a couple of projects, which I am hoping to materialise soon. Shubh Laabh came my way at the right time and I loved my character.”
He adds, “Also, I was in my hometown spending time with my family. While shooting for Ranju Ki Betiyaan, I didn’t get much time with my parents. So, I decided to travel to my hometown until things fell into place, as once you take up a daily soap, you don’t get time for anything.”
