​Ankit's early life

Ankit Gupta was born and brought up in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Ankit also has a similar story of an Engineer turned actor as he graduated from IPEC Engineering College.

​Began his career by working at a Call Centre

Ankit Gupta began his career by doing a job at a call centre and later moved to Mumbai, where he initially did many commercials and music videos before he started acting.

​Ankit Gupta's debut in Television

Ankit made his TV debut with the popular TV show Balika Vadhu as Dr Abhishek in 2011. Later he played a prominent role in the show Sadda Haq and garnered fame from the show.

Ankit Gupta also worked in a movie named Tutiya Dil in 2012. He ventured into web series and has been part of the series Illegal-Justice Out Of Order seasons 1 and 2, Bekaboo 2, and Main Hero Bol Raha Hu.

Ankit had some notable cameos in shows like Kundali Bhagya, Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi and he was much applauded for his performance in Begusarai. Ankit had also trained in Martial arts for his show, Mayavi Maling.

The actor revealed in an interview that he had rejected his superhit show Udaariyaan, three times and only did it because his friends convinced him to take it up. He thought it was a win-win situation two heroines and one hero story.

Ankit Gupta is currently locked in the Bigg Boss house with his best buddy and co-star Priyanka Chahar Choudhary. Ankit Gupta also owns a YouTube Channel where he has more than 270K subscribers. The actor started vlogging with his Udaariyaan co-star Virsa Riar, while shooting for Udaariyaan, he had a popular channel with Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and fans loved their Priyankit vlogs.
