Several versions and remakes of Ramayan have been made on screen convincingly over a period of many years. It has starred several prominent artists in pivotal roles. Dipika Chikhlia

Dipika Chikhlia played the role of Sita in Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan in 1987. Such was the popularity of the show that people began to call her Sita everywhere she went. The rerun of the Hindu epic on TV during the lockdown helped the actress regain her fame. And she now enjoys a huge fan following on social media.

Smriti Irani

While Smriti Irani may be known for her role of Tulsi in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, not many know that she also played Sita in Ramayan, produced by Baldev Raj Chopra and Ravi Chopra in 2001. It starred Nitish Bharadwaj as Ram.

Debina Bonnerjee

Debina Bonnerjee made a name for herself by playing the role of Sita in the Ramayan series that premiered in 2008. It was directed by Anand Sagar and produced by Subhash, Prem and Moti Sagar. It was a reboot of the 1987 Ramayan television series. The role of Lord Ram was played by Gurmeet Choudhary.

Rubina Dilaik

Rubina Dilaik played the role of Sita in Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev. It was a hit TV show that aired for three years from 2011 to 2014. Rubina's entry added a special touch to the show that also featured actors Mohit Raina and Mouni Roy.

Neha Sargam played the role of Sita in the Ramayan that aired from 2012 to 2013. It starred actor Gagan Malik as Lord Rama.

In Siya Ke Ram, Madirakshi Mundle won several hearts with her performance as Goddess Sita. The show that aired from 2015-2016 was produced by Nikhil Sinha and was loved by viewers. It featured Ashish Sharma as Lord Ram.

Shivya Pathania was seen playing the role of Sita in popular TV show, Ram Siya Ke Luv Kush. It aired from 5 August 2019 to 10 February 2020. It starred actor Himanshu Soni as Lord Ram.
