Known for his sharp mind, steely presence, and, of course, the iconic “Daya, darwaza tod do,” he was more than just a character — he was a part of every Indian household.

The recent episode showed the senior officer dying in a devastating explosion, a moment that stunned fans across the country. While there had been whispers that actor Shivaji Satam wanted to take a break from the show, no one expected his exit to come in such a heartbreaking way.

On Saturday, the channel confirmed the news via a social media post, officially putting an end to all speculation — and sparking a wave of outrage and grief from loyal fans who weren’t ready to say goodbye. For many, it feels like the end of an era. Netizens have been posting and commenting on the recent track.

A user wrote, 'Acp sir ke bina show katam ho jayega.' Another one added, 'ACP sir ko wapas lao.' One of them commented, 'Aise kitne aaye kitne gaye... No one can dare touch our ACP PRADYUMAN... Never write him off.'

A user even compared ACP's death to Mihir from Kyunki, 'Remember when Mihir of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi was written off the show after an accident, leading to his presumed death and the audience backlash that led to the character's eventual return....
