​From LED Screen setup to Sarees from all over India; A look at unique themes of Ganpati Pandals in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been one of the longest-running shows for the past 16 years. Each year, the Gokuldhaam society welcomes Bappa with a fresh new theme. In 2024, the Mahila Mandal decided to go for a unique theme, as they decorated the pandal with sarees from all over India. Taking a look back at some of the iconic themes that Tapu Sena decorated the Ganpati Pandals with.

The universe revolves around Bappa

Gokuldham's Tapu sena went for the interesting theme of creating the universe around Bappa. They created all the planets and seated Bappa in the middle of the milkyway.

​Hike in petrol and gas rates

During the intriguing visit of Paresh Rawal on the sets of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, the Gokuldham waasis went for the theme of hike in petrol and gas rates and how it has been affecting the citizens.

​Save the earth

In the initial years of the show when Tapu sena was quite young, the kids decided to decorate the pandal with the idea of 'Save The Earth', with this initiative, they tried to educate the fans about global warming and other serious issues on the plan.

​LED screen around Bappa

One of the unique decorations was set up by the Mahila Mandal as they went for LED screens all around the pandal and kept the idol in the middle. With the screens, they made it look like Bappa was in the Himalayas, or right next to the Golden Temple.

​A tribute to the Freedom fighters

In one of the initial years, Bapuji and Tapu Sena gave a tribute to the Freedom fighters with their 'wall of fame' themed decoration. They even followed the same theme for their Rangarang Karyakaram.

​When Gokuldham Waasis were dressed in Peshwai poshak

After freedom fighters, the Gokuldham Waasis paid homage to all the army, navy and airforce personnel. They even added another theme to the Pandal by dressing up in Peshwai Poshak and performing the rituals.

​When Bappa visited Gokuldhaam society

In 2023, beyond themes, Bappa decided to give darshan to the little girl. It was her wish that she waited for 3 days to meet Bappa. Finally, when Goli decided to disguise as Bappa, he was stuck in the traffic and Ganeshji took Goli's form and visited Gokuldham Society to fulfil the little girl's wish.
