From food tasting to packing 20 boxes of tea premixes: A look at Dipika Kakar and bride-to-be Saba Ibrahim’s fun last-minute wedding preparations

Shoaib Ibrahim’s sister Saba is all set to get married next month and with a few weeks left in hand, sister-in-law Dipika Kakar Ibrahim and the entire family is on full work mode with last minute preparations. The family is fully focused on finalizing things to the ‘T’ and here’s a look at their recent outings for the wedding preparations.

Dipika Kakar Ibrahim sat with bride-to-be Saba for final wedding décor approval. From dance floor's height to print on dance floor, every details was discussed to the ‘T’.

Before flying out to Lucknow, Dipika mentions that they had given a long list of food items to be tried for the wedding menu. Dipika sat with the team and tasted many veg and non-veg items. She made sure that the taste was perfect and the veg options match the non-veg options. Dipika also expressed her excitement over having a golgappa counter at the wedding. Chicken lollypop, chicken burra, paneer items and many more, Dipika made sure to taste the condiments as well. From starters to desserts, Dipika and her team had a gala time at the food tasting. Dipika teases hubby Shoaib, who was on a video call, by having rasmalai in front of him.

Dipika and her team went for another round of food tasting with a second caterer and had some yummy food items. From Lucknow special tunday kebabs to biryani, Dipika came to decide which caterer to go for and what all food items they want.

Dipika, Shoaib and Saba went for sherwani shopping and finalised groom-to-be’s wedding sherwani. While Saba was on a video call with her fiancé, sister-in-law Dipika gave her input on the bride and groom’s wedding outfits while selecting the sherwani. Shoaib’s cousin Rehan too finalised a sherwani, which he would be wearing at Saba’s wedding.

Dipika got a special pair of colourful shades to wear during the haldi and mehendi functions. Saba gifted her shades as a wedding gift. She also got a few rings for the weddings.

The entire family went for jewellery shopping together. While Saba tried many heavy jewellery sets, she was looking for light jewellery.

Bride-to-be Saba expressed that she is very excited for all the wedding themes and the colours they have selected for each function. She also spoke about how her diet went for a toss during her Bhopal trip and now she will make sure of taking care of herself before the wedding.

Not to miss her chai in Maudaha, Dipika went to great lengths to order 20 boxes of her favourite tea premixes. Dipika calls her sister-in-law and asks her to guess what’s inside the box. Dipika gives a hint, “I love it and I can do anything for it.” Saba guesses right saying there are tea bags. Dipika laughs and shares, “Whatever happens, I can’t miss my chai flavour. I got elaichi and masala.”

Dipika gave a glimpse into her outfits’ materials and the laces she got. She explained how she wants to get her outfits stitched. She also mentioned packing 1000 potlis with her mother. She said, “90% my mom did and I just helped her.”
