Vikas passed away two-years after becoming a dad

Vikas Sethi became a father at 45, entering one of the happiest phases of his life. However, nearly three years after the birth of his twin sons, tragedy struck when he passed away due to cardiac arrest. News of his untimely death left fans and well-wishers heartbroken, with many expressing concern for his wife, Jhanvi, and their young sons, who are just three years old. The television industry has come to a standstill, as Vikas was well-known for his roles, particularly his portrayal of negative characters. The grief his parents, Jhanvi, and loved ones are facing is unimaginable.

Struggling to lose weight

Vikas Sethi, who faced challenges with weight and a prolonged absence from the industry, clarified that his time away was not a hiatus but rather a period of personal struggle. He was determined to make a comeback by transforming his appearance and losing weight. Reflecting on his journey, he acknowledged his past mistakes, stating, "Yes, I have made mistakes, but isn’t that human? If I had known those mistakes would cost me my career, I would have avoided them. But now, I am positive and in a happy space. I am also receiving a good response from people," he added.

Vikas Sethi’s TV show

Vikas Sethi, known for his lead role in the 2003 adult drama Oops!, made a significant impact on television and in Bollywood with his diverse roles. He gained notable recognition for his performances in popular TV series, including Kahiin To Hoga, where he portrayed Swayam Shergill, and Kasautii Zindagi Kay, where he played Prem Basu. Additionally, he appeared in the fourth season of the dance reality showNach Baliye.

Personal life

Vikas Sethi was born on May 12, 1976, in Chandigarh, and had a passion for acting from a young age. Like many outsiders in the film industry, he faced numerous rejections during his early years but remained patient, waiting for his opportunity. His break came with his acting debut in Deepak Tijori's erotic drama-comedy, *Oops!*, where he portrayed a male stripper who falls in love with his best friend's mother. Although the film didn't perform well at the box office, Vikas’ performance caught the attention of several producers and directors.

Two marriages

Vikas Sethi first got married to a woman named Amita, who was reportedly a cabin crew member by profession. The couple seemed to enjoy a happy married life and even participated together in the dance reality show Nach Baliye 3 in 2007. However, their relationship eventually faced irreconcilable issues, leading to their divorce. After his separation from Amita, Vikas found love again with Jhanvi Sethi, whom he met through a mutual friend. The two formed a close bond and got married on February 21, 2018, when Vikas was 42 years old. On June 21, 2021, the couple welcomed twin boys, marking a new chapter in their lives as parents.

In a poignant interview with Bombay Times, he opened up about his experiences, revealing, “It was a tough and frustrating phase.
