From calling Nikita Bhamdipati and his relationship 'khokhla' to being called a loser; Kundali Bhagya's Baseer Ali gets candid about his toxic relationships, mental health and more

Kundali Bhagya's Shaurya aka Baseer Ali recently got candid about his past relationships in a podcast. The actor shared how he was in a phase of healing from a toxic relationship, he also opened up about what went wrong between Nikita Bhamdipati and him. Baseer shared how one of his girlfriends had called him a loser and made him feel extremely terrible about his life. Take a look at the major revelations he made about his love life:

2/12

Baseer's ideal match and love life

I am a very sensitive guy, I am emotional, and my love language is hardcore so if someone really comes to that phase, they know what I am. I know my vibe, I cannot forget values, things people have done for me, where I have come from, and where I am going if someone can remember all that, keep them in their place. Most of the people I have been with in the past few years, they are not that people. They are the wrong choices for me. I am proud of myself for surviving all of them and still keeping myself sane and in good shape for the person who would come into my life, as I have a lot to give. I am looking for a female Baseer.

3/12

Baseer is happily single and healing

I am very much single, I was in a very toxic relationship and it got over somewhere in July. I am currently healing as when you are dating people you are constantly giving and you are lost. You need to sit back and give attention to yourself, figure out what's going wrong and get back to the positive side. I am in that phase right now and I am happily single. I don't think I am available for something emotional or relationship or something solid as I have just found acting for myself.

4/12

Focus on continuing with Kundali Bhagya

I am 28 and the doors of acting have just opened for me. It is an entire ocean. I have tasted blood in 2017 for success, money, fame, and I am coming for all of it. I want so much more for myself and I am not even halfway there. So for now my career and money are my priorities, apart from that, if someone enters my life and stays with me on the journey, then why not?

5/12

Healing from toxic relationships

In my case, I shut myself. I put myself in activities that keep me very busy. Sadness or something that bothers you only activates or triggers when you have nothing to do. If you want to help yourself, don't look for activities that you are going to avoid, instead look for something that keeps you completely busy so that you don't get time to think about what is bothering you. Once you are so busy with it, you will definitely find a connection and you will get indulged in it. If you don't shut yourself while doing this, you will constantly keep giving and get exhausted, so when the right person comes. You wouldn't have anything to give him or her.

6/12

Met someone in the lockdown

I have gone through this, I found this person in lockdown. I couldn't exchange the energy as I was completely drained. I knew she was the one but I couldn't express and offer myself. This was one relationship that I couldn't give in to, again someone from MTV but I don't want to name her. I know I have dated so many, I hope that one was the last of them.

7/12

Being misunderstood as the bad guy in school

I have also had rejections, which is one of the biggest reasons I am the man I am today. I have been titled the most desirable man of Hyderabad, I was no 17 in the country at some point. Who thought that this guy in the school was avoided by the girls in his class? Girls thought that 'Baseer is coming, fix your frocks, he is coming just sit properly'. I felt terrible as a child. I was not even interested in them. But they thought I was some dude like that.

8/12

One life-changing relationship in Baseer's life

One girl I really fell in love with in my life. That one life-changing person everyone has. I was with this girl for 3 and a half years back in my city, she was the first Muslim girl I dated and amazing, wild and mad. She is the reason why I still have a few flavours in my life. My coffee, perfumes, some choices in things that I eat, some cafes that I used to do with only her. At 17-18 years of age, you are having these experiences with someone. It stays with you. But that relationship ended on a very bad note. She said many terrible and bitter things to me. So my first ever newspaper article after Roadies where I had given mention to her (not by revealing her name), I said 'Thanks to you 5% of my success will always be because of you.'

9/12

Baseer on being called a loser by his first girlfriend

She replied to me that I have nothing, no money, no career, no family background. I will not have a future. She said in a year she would be a designer, her dad had given her a studio. I would be sitting on the bike, roaming around the city having no girls. I would be lost and this and that. In a year's time, I am on TV, I am on the papers, I am on media. Life changed completely for me. So that call was very important for me to realise where I was going at the age of 20.

10/12

She said such mean things about my family

She said such mean stuff about my family. I come from a family where a woman earns bread. She called me a loser and much more. She rang me up and said, 'I don't even know if the house that you are living in is your own or rented.' Being with me for 3 and a half years if she still has to say this and she thinks I am poor. So these things at the age of 20 for a boy who doesn't have a father or his so-called money, takes a toll on him. I had really cried in front of my mother and I went out and told my friends that I would show the world what I could do.

11/12

Baseer calls his relationship with Nikita 'khokhla'

When you are the person trying to put an end to it, you don't need closure. We were having a difficult phase in our life and things were not falling in their place so it's better to separate. I would never want to remember anything from my relationship with Nikita. It was all khokhla. When I am involved in a relationship like that, everybody is past for me but then when you are someone who wants to talk in public and speak only ill, most people are inclined towards believing it.

12/12

Baseer hints at Nikita's participation in Temptation Island

But I am glad that some new reality shows have come out and the shows are putting people in their place and the world is about to see it. I am going to let people make their own decisions, I don't want to remember even a bit about it. I am glad, I am living in my space and I am good. I would want to say a lot but with due respect, it is good to be forgotten. What I offered even after the shows was beyond, my family was looking at me with eyes open. After everything that person did to me, I still tried offering friendship. Don't be a better person for people, be who you are because people are not the same.
