From Byomkesh Bakshi to Sasural Simar Ka; a look at Ashiesh Roy's notable television shows

Actor Ashiesh Roy passed away due to kidney failure today (November 24). The actor had been keeping unwell and undergoing treatment during the lockdown. Ashiesh Roy, who started his television journey with Byomkesh Bakshi, has done several popular shows on television. Take a look at the roles he played:

Ashiesh made his TV debut with Byomkesh Bakshi. He played the role of Makrand in the episode Veni Sanhar.

Another popular show the actor did in the 90's was Banegi Apni Baat where he essayed the role of Abhishek.

Ashiesh was seen as Tanveer in the show. He later quit as he started getting other exciting offers. During the period, the actor was flooded with good work.

In 2004, the talented actor was seen in the popular television show, Remix. He played the role of Mr Choudhary in the drama. The series was a remake of international soap opera, Rebelde Way.

Ashiesh played the part of Das Gupta in the dramedy. The show which lasted for about a year on the small screen centered around a Punjabi family.

The actor went on to feature in the popular daily soap Sasural Simar Ka where he was cast as Suryendra Daddoji Bharadwaj. He was quite close to the cast and can be seen with popular actors Dipika Kakar and Avika Gor in the frame.

Ashiesh was also seen as Chatur Ganguli in Jeannie Aur Jiju. The show ran for two years on television.

In Mere Angne Mein, Ashiesh was cast opposite Ananya Khare (Sarla). He played the role of Ashok Agarwal, Sarla's husband, in the television drama.

The Erica Fernandes and Shaheer Sheikh starrer Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi saw Ashiesh Roy play the role of Shankar Mandal.
