From asking the channel to remove him after the first episode to falling unconscious in a water stunt; Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa share their Khatron Ke Khiladi experience with Abhishek Kumar

Abhishek Kumar recently had a fun chat with Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa in their podcast. The Bigg Boss 17 runner-up shared how he had initially refused to do the stunt-based show. Bharti and Haarsh participated in the 9th season of the show. Sharing their experience, the duo spoke about how their lives completely changed after the show. Haarsh wanted to quit soon after aborting his first stunt but his performance garnered him immense love.

I had actually refused it numerous times. Everyone knows that I am claustrophobic and I also had an injury in my right hand. I don't have to hold power in my hand, I used to do bike stunts in childhood which I met with an accident. I was quite sceptical about the show, but then when I met everyone, they told me that not all stunts are the same, 'When you go there, you will feel a completely different motivation and you have the potential.' So to avoid the offer I quoted more money and they agreed. I was just shocked.

When it comes to your season, everyone still talks about both of you. I must have done around 10-15 meetings with the production house before signing for Khatron. Even there they gave me your example of how despite being heavy in those times, still you did those stunts. Haarsh bhai you were so new back then and still managed to win hearts.

Sharing his experience with Khatron, Haarsh said, "That show made me who I am today. I have worked all these years behind the scenes, and that has taught me that whoever you are. Whatever your personality is, you only need to be real in the reality show. And I understood this very well."

Recalling his first stunt Haarsh said, "When I went for the first stunt on the 40th floor of the building. Before me, Aditya Narayan did the stunt and he won it. He wouldn't talk much with us, neither share a bond but he would do the stunts super well. He was so good. When it was my turn, I was screaming 'mummy'. I was completely shocked looking at how scared I got. I couldn't do it and I honestly asked to abort the stunt."

Bharti Singh added, "I felt like this was the most embarrassing moment of my life. I was wearing the chooda and waiting there and Haarsh was screaming 'mummy'. What will he do if goons attack us? He had to come to the other side of the building and he was crying. He only walked 2 or 3 plates in the stunt."

Haarsh then shared, "After aborting the first stunt itself I felt extremely embarrassed and I worried how people would react when they saw me on TV. That I couldn't even do the first stunt. I went to the channel and asked them to remove me from the show. I even asked them to return my passport and let me go. I have messed up all the stunts in the first 4-5 episodes. I couldn't do a single stunt properly."

Haarsh shared how fans reacted, "I remember Rohit sir standing next to me and I told him that I felt I made a mistake coming to this show. Rohit sir told me 'nahi tu dekh, tu bohot cute lagega.' When the show got telecast, I didn't watch it but suddenly one day a rickshawala told me 'Khatron ke khiladi bhaaiii, abort...' that is when I went to the mall to see if people recognize me and the love I received was unimaginable. After that Khatra Khatra came and life changed."

Bharti shared when she got unconscious in a water stunt, "I remember they had tied me inside a body bag and thrown me in the water. I don't even remember if I completed the stunt or not but when I gained consciousness, I was surrounded by foreign doctors. There are doctors and an ambulance for us all the time while we perform the stunts."
