Entering the 'Bigg Boss 18' house as the first contestant, Chaahat Pandey captured theattention of the viewers. She spoke about her profound love for her mother and her goal to make her proud in every aspect of her life. Although she appeared beautiful and simple, she was involved in several controversies. Early Career

Chaahat made her television debut in 2016 with the show 'Pavitra Bandhan', where she played the role of Mishti Roy Choudhary. Although this marked the start of her journey, her breakthrough came in 2019 when she portrayed Pakhi in 'Hamari Bahu Silk'. This role earned her widespread recognition as it revolved around a strong female character.

Arrested by cops

In 2020, Chaahat and her mother were arrested for allegedly breaking into her uncle's apartment, vandalizing it, and assaulting him. They were later granted bail, but Chaahat has not talked about the incident publicly. The issue started when her uncle refused to adopt one of his sister's children. While on 'Bigg Boss 18', Bigg Boss predicted that Chaahat would have to go to jail in the house. However, she managed to convince other contestants to take her place instead.

Raised voice against non-payment

Chaahat appeared in the show 'Hamari Bahu Silk'. During the lockdown, she spoke out about the producers not paying the cast and crew, highlighting that manywere facingfinancial difficulties. She also shared that her landlord asked her to leave her rented flat due to unpaid rent.There were reports suggestingthat Chaahat's mother claimed she attempted suicide, but Chaahat denied this, stating that her mother's comments were misunderstood.

Hospitalized after an injury on a set

Chaahat was cast in the show 'Mere Sai - Shraddha Aur Saburi'. While filming an episode, she stepped on a piece of glass barefoot, resulting in an injury that requiredhospitalisation. In an interview with Zee News, she recounted the incident, saying, "During the break, when I went to feed the dogs onset, a piece of glass pierced my skin. After receiving immediate treatment, Iwas able toreturn to the set and finish the shot on the same day."

Replaced in a show

Initially, Chaahat Pandey was set to star in Star Bharat's 'Radha Krishna' alongside Sumedh Mudgalkar, and a promo featuring her was released. However, she was replaced overnight due to issues with the producer. The role of Radha then went to Mallika Singh, and the show became very popular.

Political connection

Talking to Pinkvilla, Chaahat talked about her plans to enter politics by running for office with Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party. She said, "Yes, I'm focusing on my political career and will contest in the upcoming election for the MLA position in Damoh, Madhya Pradesh. I'm not quitting acting; I'm trying to balance both. While I’ll take a break for a while, I can still shoot for my show Nath on my days off." When asked why she chose politics, she explained, "My mother always wanted me to be a politician, and I was interested in it too, so I decided to go for it. It’s only been six months since I started this journey, and I’m excited to see how it goes."
