Former Bigg Boss contestant Ajaz Khan on his 'Traumatic experience' in jail for 26 months, says "I ate dal with rats, insects and witnessed filled washrooms"

Ajaz Khan, who was arrested in a drug case, finally got bail on June 19. Ajaz Khan, who was a contestant in Bigg Boss 7, held a press meet to share his experience of surviving in jail for 26 months. Ajaz called it a traumatic experience and shared everything he went through and what he ate.

I visited Qabristan to thank my mother for her support

As soon as I got out of jail, the first thing I did was that I visited Qabristan and went to my mother's qabr to thank her for supporting me in this traumatic journey. She was there with me in my prayers from the jail. I had to come out for her and my family.

There were just three toilets for 400 inmates

The two years were very difficult for me. I told the truth and due to this, my own people separated themselves from me. 26 months I stayed without my family, my father was extremely unwell. I thank God that he kept me alive for my family and fought with those circumstances. There were just three toilets for 400 inmates and those toilets would always be filled.

I used to eat dry rotis and stone-like rice

I read a lot of books inside, I learned a lot there. I realized the price of each grain and vegetable. When I stayed with those inmates and gangsters there, they taught me the importance of life. I used to eat those dry rotis and stone-like rice. Today if someone would give me the bare minimum then I would eat it with the same joy.

I was jailed while returning from the Airport

This phase showed me those people who were mine and supported me in the hard times. So I made friends and foes in these circumstances. A lot of people whom I trusted left me while some supported me and my family. I don't know why I went to jail. I was returning from the Airport and some officials came and took me to the police station for questioning and in a blink of an eye I was jailed. I don't want to fight with the system and want to take care of my family.

6/10

I am requesting the Industry to give me work

I am requesting the Industry to please give me good work. I have my family that I have to take care of. I am an actor so please look at it. Shah Rukh bhai's son was also meddled in a matter and now he is out. I don't want to take names as I am still restricted under the Supreme Court's order. I will follow their law. I just want to say that everything has changed, and I want to work.

7/10

I supported my fraternity friends inside jail

I supported my fraternity friends inside the jail and helped them with food and basic needs. Be it Aryan, Armaan Kohli or Raj Kundra. It is the world's most crowded jail. People are pushed to sleep on each other. In a capacity of 800 inmates, there are more than 3000 inmates stuffed in the jails there.

8/10

Mika Singh and Randeep Hooda took care of my family

Mika Singh took care of my family, he kept calling my family and helping them. Randeep Hooda also helped my family in need. I am so grateful for them taking care of my family in my absence.

9/10

I would eat dal with rats and insects inside

It took me a month to accept the normal life. I couldn't understand how to eat good food or bathe in a clean bathroom. In the jail, I would eat the dal with rats and insects, and those dry rotis so I was trying to accept this life again. I had to sleep on the floor with those insects and just one chadar.

10/10

I had to come out alive from these circumstances in jail

The most challenging thing in these two years was to survive. I had to stay alive in those circumstances in jail. It was not easy but I had to come out alive for my family and those who prayed for me. The jail taught me to survive with the least amenities and still be happy.
