Prompted by the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the country and the risk of another wave of infections, television actors urge everyone to be safe. They suggest some precautions to be taken while celebrating Holi this year

Simba Nagpal: Avoid inviting people inside the house

Actor Simba Nagpal seen playing the protagonist the show Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki says, "I believe this Holi we shouldn't invite people from outside to celebrate the festival at our home. We can never be sure about the level of COVID exposure of our possible guests. This year we need to be extra responsible white celebrating the festival."

Athar Siddiqui: Make it a virtual meet and greet

Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya 2, actor Athar Siddiqui shares, "With time things do change. No doubt meeting and greeting on festivals is our culture, but this time on Holi, we must greet virtually and avoid using public transport for commuting to meet people. Don't leave your current place of residence to celebrate the festival in some other town."

Ankit Gulati: Don't be a part of any procession

Currently seen in new show, Mehndi Hai Rachne Waali, actor Ankit Gulati adds, "I believe we need to be more concerned this yeat. We shouldn't be a part of any procession during the festivals. Many state governments have imposed ban on taking out processions, so avoid gathering around the pyre for celebratory Holika Dahan too."

Kuldeep Singh: Avoid having big congregation for Holi

Actor Kuldeep Singh, currently seen in Yeshu feels, "As we all are already aware that after the relaxation, we are back in a dangerous situation as the covid cases are on a hike. I believe we shouldn't celebrate festivals with big congregation, where people with unknown travel history may be part of the celebration."

Malhar Pandya: If you're playing, make sure to sanitise properly

RadhaKrishn actor Malhar Pandya suggests, "Do not eat anything until you have taken a shower, cleaned and sanitised your body, and disposed off your clothes safely. We need to be more healthy and care about other's health too while celebrating Holi."

Vinit Kakar who featured in Devi Adi Parashakti advises, "Avoid handshakes and hugging during holi celebrations in you plan for any, avoiding playing colors can be best for the year. Remember what health experts advised in the early days of Covid-19 pandemic in India: Say Namaste! And thats our culture too."
