Exclusive - The 50's Divya Agarwal breaks silence on divorce rumours with husband Apurva Padgaonkar; says 'We live in separate houses...'

Divya Agarwal, who has won reality shows like Ace Of Space and Bigg Boss OTT, was recently voted out from 'The 50'. The actress joined Times of India TV for an exclusive chat where she revealed that she did not enjoy the show's format. She also opened up about the on-going divorce rumours with husband Apurva Padgaonkar and reacted to co-contestant Bhavya Singh's comments about her married life. Divya also shared how her in-laws have now gotten used to such rumours. (Photo: Instagram)

On The 50 - I couldn’t enjoy it the way I usually do, and I didn’t feel that strong desire to win the trophy

In every show I’ve done before, I gave my full dedication, and the audience could feel that. Even I knew that I had put my heart and soul into those projects. But with 'The 50', I didn’t feel the same connection. I couldn’t enjoy it the way I usually do, and I didn’t feel that strong desire to win the trophy or move ahead in the competition. I think the format simply didn’t suit me, and I was okay accepting that. I’m not disappointed with my journey. In fact, I feel happier because I’ve changed as a person. I’ve noticed many positive changes in myself as a human being. (Photo: Instagram)

Once the sides were decided, everyone stayed with their alliance

I often get deeply involved in relationships, and honestly, I don’t mind that. Whenever I build a bond with someone, I tend to give a lot from my side. Because of that, sometimes my game may look weak. Even if I had gone against Prince, it wouldn’t have changed much. The other alliance was already very strong and loyal to their own group. Once the sides were decided, everyone stayed with their alliance, and it became very difficult for anyone to switch or play differently. In that situation, surviving in the show was not easy. I’m happy that I protected my relationships

I feel that the format of the show was affected by how people inside were playing. Votes were not always open, and many decisions were made after discussions among contestants. This created confusion, and it was hard to understand what was really happening. Still, I’m happy that I protected my relationships. I’ve won many shows before, but I haven’t always made strong bonds there. For the first time, people in a show are loving me, and that means a lot. So I’m satisfied and I have no regrets. Siwet found it hard to accept that they ended up playing Prince

Siwet had high expectations, so it was natural for him to feel upset. Someone like Faizu didn’t fully understand the game, but when it came to Prince and Srivedh, the situation was different. Siwet knew the game well and believed that if they had planned things more smartly, the outcome could have been different. He found it hard to accept that they ended up playing Prince. In the game, Siwet had been one of Prince’s strongest supporters, which is why the situation hurt him so much. (Photo: Instagram)

Divya reacts to separation rumours - We live in separate houses

Yes, right now, we live in separate houses but it is for work. I stay close to my workplace, and he lives near his. He usually finishes work around 2 a.m., and it wouldn’t be practical for him to drive all the way from Navi Mumbai to Goregaon at that time because it’s a long and tiring journey. I also stay near my work since my shoots often happen in places like Virar, Naigaon, and Madh, which are quite far from Chembur. We still meet like girlfriend and boyfriend. (Photo: Instagram)

I’m grateful to have a husband who understands and supports my career

As an actor, I felt I was missing out on my life because of all the travel. I’ve built my own life over the years, and I’m grateful to have a husband who understands and supports my career. For now, we have decided to focus on our careers for the next ten years. We are still young and excited about our work, so that’s our priority at the moment. (Photo: Instagram)

My dating life and marriage have always been a topic of discussion

In the future, we do plan to live together, build a home, and enjoy a peaceful life. My dating life and marriage have always been a topic of discussion. I’m not sure if that’s good or bad, but my personal life has always attracted a lot of attention, and people seem very curious about it. (Photo: Instagram)

Divorce rumours - My in-laws now just laugh it off and say it has become a regular thing

Even if I explain it many times, people still won’t believe it. They keep waiting for news about my divorce. So sometimes I feel that if such rumours continue, I might as well use them to promote a big project of mine. Maybe then the trolling will change. But even then, people will say that I’m using my relationships for publicity. The rumours have spread so much that now I don’t even worry about my in-laws reacting to them. They see headlines about Divya and Apurva getting divorced almost every day, and now they just laugh it off and say it has become a regular thing. (Photo: Instagram)
