Exclusive - Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s Tanmay Vekaria aka Baagha goes in self-quarantine after his vegetable vendor tests positive for COVID-19
The entire nation is currently under lockdown owing to the coronavirus scare and the virus is now rapidly growing in few parts of the country. Mumbai is one of them with the number of cases of COVID-19 patients rapidly growing in the country. The latest we have learnt is that three residents from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Tanmay Vekaria aka Baagha's building have tested positive and his building has been sealed. Yes, the news is true. Our building has been sealed
Tanmay, who resides in Raj Arcade at Kandivali West confirmed the news to E Times TV and stated, "Yes, the news is true. Our building has been sealed due to the COVID-19 cases. The entire building has been quarantined for 14 days since Tuesday."

We are not allowed to step out
The actor further stated, "It is a tough time for all of us and everyone is scared about their families. We are not allowed to step out and I absolutely understand that it is the most important thing at the moment. I am all praise for the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). The BMC officials have been extremely helpful, they have sanitized the entire building."

We have stocked all the grocery items
Tanmay, who plays the role of Baagha and has been associated with TMKOC for a long time now, stated that the basic necessity at the moment is milk, vegetables and medicines and that they get. The actor is scared at the moment as he reveals that the vegetable vendor he has been taking stuff from has been tested positive, "I am very scared because the vegetable vendor has been tested positive for COVID-19. The vegetable vendor has been tested postive today. Though, I was not in direct touch with him, but as a responsible person I have decided to go in self-quarantine for next 14 days. I had taken care of everything, when the last time I stepped out to get those vegetables after returning I had taken a bath and washed all the vegetables. But I don't want to risk my family."

Tanmay also shared, "None of the three COVID-19 patients have had any travel history. They are currently admitted in Seven Hills Hospital and I just hope they get well soon. "
