Exclusive - Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah's Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal on Monaz Mevawalla replacing her as new Roshan: She is a talented girl, I want her to be accepted by the viewers

Popular actress Monaz Mevawalla has been roped in to play the new Mrs Roshan in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The character, which was missing from the last 8-9 months, will now be seen making a comeback on the show. Actress Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal earlier played the role for 13 long years and she quit the show after a fallout with the makers of Taarak. ETimes TV got in touch with Jennifer to know about the replacement and her reaction to Monaz stepping into her shoes. Jennifer also opened up about the latest #BoycottTMKOC trend and revealed that Disha Vakani will never return to the show as Daya Ben.

I always knew that this thing would happen one day. This time when I left the show on March 7 I was very confident that I’m not returning back. So the attachment died with the entire team. I was ready and prepared for this day.





I wanted to bless whoever was stepping into my shoes to play the role
Recently, I had also read somewhere that the makers are looking for a new Roshan and I was ready. Like I shared with you earlier, I wanted to release the attachment with Roshan. I wanted to bless whoever was stepping into my shoes to play the role. I want the person to be happy and prosperous. I want the new person to be accepted by the viewers also. Because acceptance nahi hogi audience ki toh things get difficult. If it is her destiny, why shouldn’t she get a chance?

I want to explore new things
When I had quit the show during my pregnancy at that time I was hurt because I wanted to work as Roshan but I don’t want to continue with the same role. I want to explore new things. Jab tak main haath khol ke khaali nahi karungi tab tak dusri cheez kaise aayegi mere paas. I want to release it.

Monaz is a beautiful and talented girl
Monaz is a very cute, good girl. We are friends on social media also. Her father Firdaus Mevawalla has worked in Taarak Mehta earlier. We worked together and had discussed Monaz and she is a talented girl, beautiful and bubbly. I feel she will be able to do justice with the role. All the best to her.
