Exclusive - Niti Taylor on reuniting with Kaisi Yeh Yaarian's co-actor Parth Samthaan: Waiting for someone to give us an opportunity

Television actress Niti Taylor has a girl-next-door image and is extremely popular among the youth. The actress, who wooed hearts by featuring in shows such as Hip Hip Hurray, Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan, Ishqbaaz and so on, is a fun-loving personality. During the lockdown period, Niti did an exclusive live chat with ETimes TV and revealed that she never wanted to be an actor but a teacher. She also spoke about her memories associated with the show, Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan and co-actor Parth Samthaan. Niti and Parth played the role of Nandini Murthy and Manik Malhotra respectively. Read on...(By: Gayatri Nirmal)

Unforgettable memory with Parth from Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan

It is from season 3 where we are on the middle of the road and it starts raining out of nowhere. It was very funny to shoot that scene because it was around 4 or 5 am in the morning and we both (Parth and Niti) were freezing and drinking coffee. Then they (production team) gave us energy drinks. This was the last scene and we were done for the day. What was funny about it was the tyre in the scene that was moving sideways instead of straight and because of the tyre we had to give so many retakes. We were literally freezing and Sir would be like 'Ek take aur Ek take aur'. 'Hamari toh bilkul jaan chali gayi thi' (We were almost dead). But it was fun because we were laughing and that is one of the fresh memories.(Photo: Instagram)

Hip Hip Hurray's rerun

I would want Hip Hip Hurray to be rerun because I have grown up watching that show and I used to love the entire team. When I realised that Mehul Nisar is playing my uncle's role, I was on the seventeenth-eighteenth cloud. I had a fan moment with him and later on, we became quite pally. Then entered Kishwer Merchant and I was intimidated by her because she is a senior actress. I remember messaging my mother, father and sister that even she (Kishwer) is in the show. I think Hip Hip Hurray should come back again. It is an epic show.(Photo: Instagram)

On working with Parth again

How can I say when will I be working with Parth Samthaan again. Firstly, let the lockdown come to an end. Talking about Parth, he's doing really well for himself right now but if we do get an opportunity then we will work together. We can't give the opportunity to our own selves. Somebody has to give it to us. So, we are waiting for that.(Photo: Instagram)

On being locked up with fans

I'm a very entertaining person. So, I would come up with games such as Never Have I Ever. I always have questions on my mind and I play a lot of games with my friends also. I think I would end up asking a lot of question but I would not want to get locked up with people who like me because I like people who don't know me. I don't like telling anyone, who doesn't know me that I am an actor. I would prefer getting locked up with unknown people.(Photo: Instagram)

Has that ever happened?

Yes, they weren't unknown but they did not know me. So, whenever they ask me, 'What do you do?' I say, 'I'm a teacher'. At one of the parties, somebody asked, 'Who got this kid here?' They did not know that I am an actor. Then I said to myself, 'Let's put the charm on'. That person was my friend's relative and got everything, food, juice everything for me at that party.(Photo: Instagram)

On doing negative roles

It depends on how the role is. I would not mind taking it up for sure. A sweet girl doing something mean will be really nice to watch. It is also very difficult for an actor to break the stereotype where you've always done something sweet and nice but now you're doing something nasty. I think that's also a very big challenge. The role should be really good that it should do wonders for me.(Photo: Instagram)

On cut-throat competition in the industry

I really feel what is meant for you will really happen to you. I don't believe that this has come and then this will lessen. No, if they are meant to be there, it will happen with them, and everybody is different in their own ways. I do not believe in comparisons because if I am playing a role that somebody else is also playing then I will be enacting it in my way and that person will do it their way. So, if somebody is put somewhere in life then that is for a reason.(Photo: Instagram)

Niti as a person when in relationship

I am very pampering like 'I'll make you food.' You should ask my mother and father this. I keep calling them by weird names like 'cutie' 'champulal', 'lallu', 'laddu'. This is mean (laughs) but I am very pampering, affectionate, loving and very loyal to my people. I am very protective and possessive while in a relationship. (Photo: Instagram)
