Missing Arjun on the show

Yes, people loved Arjun and my pair. I keep meeting Arjun, we were recently in Dubai and during Holi also we were together. We have known each other for many years now, like Ankita and I, we go back such long years. I’m missing him but I’m having a lot of fun in the new setup also. Like I am working with Elvish for the first time, and he's a really nice guy, There's Samarth also, our Chintu, who is really good. (Photo: Instagram)

Bond with Ankita

Yes, Ankita and I share a great bond. We have literally together in the industry and have known each other for 15-16 years. When she used to shoot for Pavitra Rishta, I used to shoot for Kitani Mohabbat Hai. She knows that I’m pulling her leg or joking and means no harm. (Photo: Instagram)

On Mixed response to season 2: It is a different season all together so it’s unfair to compare

Yaa the second season has got mixed response because our fans are missing us on our show. you don’t think the second season is not as successful as the first season. It is equally successful. Bigg Boss has also has 18 seasons and every year it can’t be the same. Because it was the first season, people will remember its legacy. Sabko yaad rahega woh kyunki woh humare saath start hua tha. But when we came to do the show we did not really know what the show is going to be. We just created what we thought. Different people will create different stories, chemistries or camaraderie. It is a different season all together so it’s unfair to compare. (Photo: Instagram)

On engagement rumours

Aunty is very sweet and she is very simple. Farah ma’am asked her and she just said what she felt. After that everybody is discussing it and now people are taking our last year’s Diwali photos and saying they are saying we are engaged. The pics are from last year's Diwali puja. There's nothing. Every year there is speculation about our marriage. (Photo: Instagram)

Is there pressure from families to get married?

There’s no pressure on us for marriage from our families. To be honest, the way we are doing in our personal and professional lives, families are very happy. (Photo: Instagram)

On returning to Laughter Chefs

It is awesome to be back. It was so much fun, there were so many emotions that I felt at the same time I did not feel that I was away from the show and returned after a gap of 3-4 months. It's like we just finished shooting for the first season last month. The old faces were there and they all got emotional. Nobody knew that I was returning to the show, including Bharti. No one was informed about my return, in fact Bharti got to know 10 seconds before the announcement. Everybody knew that someone was coming but they were not aware that it was me. They all got emotional Bharti, Kashmera bhabhi, Ankita, Krushna bhai. It was such an emotional moment in fact, main bhi emotional hone laga tha. Harpal paaji and even the new faces were very happy. It was a very smooth transition and it felt so nice. You see the promo, I just went on and jumped on Krushna bhai. Humne plan kuch aur kiya tha ho kuch aur gaya. That's the beauty of the show, because there are no scripts, it is all about the relationships and the fun we have had and the mistakes we have made. (Photo: Instagram)

Laughter Chefs originally meant to be a small, 8-episode show

There is a sense of gratitude and a proud feeling that the show is loved by all age groups. When we came up with the new season we had not imagined that it would become a rage. This was originally meant to be a small, 8-episode show. We weren’t given a clear idea of what to expect, and suddenly, it transformed into a massive phenomenon that took India and audiences abroad by storm. There is a sense of pride and achievement, that we have learnt something new. In the last 15 years we had thought or imagined that these are the kind of shows which become hits, that all went out of the window. Not one country where I've been to after Laughter Chefs, be it Dubai, Iceland, the UK, US, wherever I've gone and it's not just the Indian, the entire South East Asia that is watching the show. There's a lot of learning and kudos to the creative that they have revolutionized the content. At the end of the day comedy is also a serious business. It is a big achievement for them as well. So a big congratulations to them as well to think of this and work so hard. They have actually disrupted the market. (Photo: Instagram)
