Exclusive - Happu Ki Ultan Paltan actress Geetanjali Mishra: My best birthday gift this year is my Mother returning home from Hospital
This Diwali was a rollercoaster of emotions for actress Geetanjali Mishra, who portrays Rajesh on Happu Ki Ultan Paltan. Instead of celebrating the festive season as usual, Geetanjali found herself by her mother’s side in the hospital, praying for her recovery after her mother was unexpectedly admitted. Diwali, a time typically filled with light and joy, felt subdued without her mother's presence at home.
With her birthday approaching, Geetanjali's sole focus was on her mother’s health. She expressed her emotions on social media, sharing her love and hope for her mother’s speedy recovery. Little did she know, a beautiful and unforgettable moment awaited her that would turn her birthday into a celebration far more meaningful than she could have ever imagined.
Reflecting on her experience, Geetanjali, aka Rajesh from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, shared, "This Diwali was an emotional journey. While everyone else was celebrating with lights and laughter, I was by my mother's side in the hospital, praying for her well-being. Diwali has always been about warmth, family, and togetherness, but without her, our home felt empty despite the festive glow. Every day spent with her reminded me of how fragile life is and how easily we take our loved ones for granted. As my birthday approached, my only wish was to have my mother home, healthy and smiling. Then, just a day before my birthday, I received the most wonderful news: my mother was well enough to be discharged. I’ll never forget the moment she walked back into our home. Her presence at home revived all the warmth and love we had been missing, and it felt as if Diwali had truly come alive again, filling every corner of our home and hearts."
Geetanjali added, "My mother's recovery was like a divine blessing, a gift from the universe that I will cherish forever. Her return made my birthday an unforgettable celebration, reminding me of what truly matters in life. This year, I’m grateful for the greatest gift—my mother’s health and her presence. I will hold this memory close, as a reminder to treasure every moment with our loved ones, for they are the true blessings in life."
