Divyanka Tripathi

This year Holi is going to be very exciting because the last two years we have been confined to our homes like everyone else. This year we are going to go all out and celebrate the festival without friends. We will be party hopping today and we will be meeting a lot of friends. My favourite Holi memory is from Bhopal. We used to have crazy Holi parties. We would fill up in cars and jeeps and would rally around in Bhopal and throw Gulaal at people. We would even play Holi with strangers and I’ve such beautiful and happy memories. I sometimes visit Bhopal, Vivek and I still play Holi sometimes in Bhopal with our friends and bachpan jaise Holi ab nahi hoti. I love having mummy ke haanth ka Gujiya on Holi the most. That’s on my wish list to drink Bhaang on Holi and in fact once I even went searching for it and I couldn’t find it. Finally, I ended up playing a prank on my friends and got normal thandai. I acted as if I was high on Bhaang and they believed me and they refrained from having thandaI after seeing me with such bad side effects. (Laugh). I want to do it for real once but when I am at home because I’m kind of wary of acting stupid in public. (Photo: Instagram)

I am celebrating this Holi without colours. I am just going to fill up a tub and sit inside. (Laugh). I’ll apply Gulaal to follow the tradition. My favourite Holi memory is when I was in college, my friends picked me up and threw me in a gutter. Yes, it was gross. I love eating Gujjias as I am a North Indian. My mom makes it and I love them. I had Bhaang once and after that for two days I was just eating and sleeping. I was told that whenever I used to wake up from my sleep I would eat 8-10 chapatis one time. I was also on a laughter trip, eating and sleeping. (Photo: Instagram)

This is I am celebrating Holi with family and friends. This year has been the most suspicious for me because this is the year when it’s back with flying colours literally as we have our mom back. God has been very kind because we have got a chance to celebrate Holi with her. She’s fine back home all right. This is a beautiful year for us. I am in Patna. My favourite Holi memory is my first Holi after my marriage. It was the most amazing memory. I felt Kisi ke pyaar mein rang jaane ko kya kehte hain. I’d spent my first Holi with my husband and we made each and every moment special. Also, it was the first time I was someone’s Bhabhi, Chachi, maasi as I was with my in-laws and at the same time I was someone’s life wife. In Holi, of course the most traditional food is Malpua. I love having sweets like Malpua, gajar ka halwa, kachori sabzi and jalebi. I am very fond of sweets. I love eating all this which I usually avoid the entire year as I am very particular about my fitness. But as we all say bura na maano Holi hai I have to have everything sweet in the world. Yes, I remember having Bhaang once in my life. Post my marriage on my first Holi I had Bhaang and I don’t want to have it ever again. That was the most horrible experience of my life. I do remember everything. I kept laughing and crying. I remember everything but nothing was not in my control. It continued for 5 hours and I was sitting in the washroom while trying to clean my one hand, I kept laughing and crying. I don’t want to repeat it ever in my life. (Photo: Instagram)

This is the first big festival which we are celebrating after the pandemic. I am too excited. I usually celebrate the festival in my complex and I try to avoid going out. I know everyone and we all are friends. My favourite Holi memory is the one I celebrated with my wife after marriage. She doesn’t like playing Holi as she’s from Assam and there they don’t play much with colours. When she came here, we played Holi with our friends. We had a blast and it was so amazing to see her face full of colours. We were all friends with our spouses. As we all are drenched while playing Holi, anything that is served hot, I like eating that. Once we were playing a prank where my friend had got a sweet which had Bhaang and I didn’t realise and had it. We were just out of the college and I had three four pieces of that sweet and I went on a laughter trip. After that I’ve never had Bhaang ever again. (Photo: Instagram)

I love the festival of Holi as it is the festival of colours, songs, dancing and your favourite food. I am celebrating Holi with my friends like every year. I am avoiding outdoor parties as I believe the pandemic is still not over. We should all take precautions. My favourite Holi memory is when as kids we would all wake up early and then burst water balloons on others from our balcony. I enjoy eating lot of fried food and Gujjiya that is one of the traditional food items of Holi. I have had Bhaang in fact thandai, I do remember I just kept laughing. It was a crazy experience. I was playing Antakshari and I kept repeating the same line. (Photo: Instagram)

Deepika Singh

I enjoy Holi by eating lots of gujiya and dancing on popular Holi songs. My favourite Holi memory is childhood memories, playing Holi with my cousins. Yes, once I had Bhaang and I slept the entire day. (Photo: Instagram)

Karan Patel with family

I am celebrating Holi at my place with my family and friends. My favourite Holi memories are about spending time with my grandparents in Kolkata, West Bengal. They used to pamper me with food and lots of sweets. Last few years with my daughter Mehr around each Holi are memorable. She adds colour to my life. Ghujiya's are my favourite and malai pedha as well. I have a sweet tooth anyway. Honestly, I just remember lots of laughter and good times. (Photo: Instagram)
