Exclusive - Bigg Boss 19's Baseer Ali calls out Salman Khan and makers for not guiding him during WKV; says 'Malti’s remarks on my sexuality or Pranit’s joke were not addressed'

Bigg Boss 19 recently saw the unexpected eviction of Baseer Ali, who had been regarded as one of the strongest contenders since the show’s inception. The reality TV star and actor expressed disappointment over his sudden elimination, alleging that the makers treated him unfairly. In an exclusive chat with Times of India TV, Baseer questioned why he wasn’t given proper guidance during the Weekend Ka Vaar episodes, unlike other contestants. He also criticized host Salman Khan and the makers for not addressing sensitive issues, such as Malti Chahar questioning his sexuality and Pranit More’s inappropriate remark, “Baseer ko toh behan bhi chalegi.” (Photo: Instagram)

On his eviction

I felt extremely overwhelmed at first because, inside the house, we had no access to social media and I wasn’t getting any personal feedback. Every weekend, new guests, celebrities, stars, influencers, and content creators would come on the show, but none of them gave me any specific feedback. Instead, they would often roast me in a fun way. I couldn’t figure out what to take seriously or how to interpret it since it all seemed like harmless banter. So, I genuinely didn’t know whether people outside liked me or not, whether I was being appreciated, criticized, or completely misunderstood. (Photo: Instagram)

My elimination felt really surprising and confusing

When I finally got my phone and access to social media after coming out, I was shocked. I thought, how is it even possible that I didn’t get enough votes? It didn’t make sense because, in the same week I was evicted, I had actually won the Boss Meter and that “Mantri” poll. Those same people voting for me there would logically vote to keep me in. So, my elimination felt really surprising and confusing. (Photo: Instagram)

I simply didn’t fit into the narrative anymore

But having experience with reality shows, I now understand that it’s not just about performance or popularity, it’s also a business. While we contestants enter with passion, determination, and the dream to lift the trophy, there are many other factors at play, the channel, creators, sponsors, and hundreds of people involved behind the scenes. In that bigger picture, perhaps my story had reached its natural end, and at that point, I simply didn’t fit into the narrative anymore. So, they decided to gracefully show Basir making exit.(Photo: Instagram)

My question is why host Salman Khan or the makers did not address Malti and Pranit's comments

While other contestants were constantly being guided, I felt left out because no one told me what was being said behind my back. For instance, Malti’s remarks questioning my sexuality or Praneet’s joke about Baseer ko behan bhi chalegi, none of that was brought to my attention. My question is why host Salman Khan or the makers did not address these topics. Since I wasn’t informed about these things, I started feeling like people weren’t even talking about me inside the house. But if such comments and jokes were being made behind my back, they should have been highlighted on the show. (Photo: Instagram)

I also deserve equality, Bigg Boss ko mere liye stand le na chahiye tha

When I openly said in front of Nehal that the “quality of contestants is poor,” it was immediately brought up during Weekend Ka Vaar, and I was confronted for it publicly. When other contestants were speaking against, mere baare mein baat kar rahe the toh woh call out kyun nahi hua, Don't I deserve that? I also deserve equality, I also feel like ki Bigg Boss ko mere liye stand le na chahiye tha, doosron ko call out karna chahiye tha, woh confrontations karwani chahiye tha. So, if I can be called out for my quality of contestant remarks or go back to your village comment, why wasn’t the same done when people spoke wrongly about me? I deserved equal treatment, Bigg Boss should have taken a stand for me, called out those contestants, and arranged confrontations. (Photo: Instagram)

I did share on the mic and camera that I was confused

Because that didn’t happen, I started feeling lost. And it’s not like I wasn’t expressing myself, I did share on the mic and camera that I was confused and didn’t understand what was going on. I kept saying things like, “No one’s telling me what’s happening, how am I supposed to figure it out?” I hoped they would pick up on these hints and guide me, but unfortunately, there was no response from their side. He was better than Nehal, Badesha, Malti, Farrhana, Kunickaa and even Amaal Malik as a human being.
