I am the chat show host and this is very interesting and new for me

I am very excited that I am doing this new show which is called Not Just a Chat Show. I am the chat show host and this is very interesting and new for me. Usually, I am the one who’s answering and giving replies but this time I am asking questions. This was a very exciting offer for me. I have been a huge fan of chat shows forever and the best part is it is a very different kind of show. There is no script or set of questions involved. It is very spontaneous and there are secrets coming out, their life stories. It is a new concept and it is my new journey as a chat show host. (Photo: Instagram)

I felt like I was living in a K-drama

Honestly, if I tell you from the time I went there, shot for the project and came back I felt like I was living in a K-drama. It didn’t feel real, it was like a dream. During the lockdown I have watched so many K-dramas. Maine itne dekhe hain, that it should be illegal. I am a huge fan of Korean music, dramas and everything. Whenever I watched their content I used to feel wow yaar even I want to do something like this. Suddenly, I got a call from them, they contacted me and told me that we have been seeing your journey for two years. They literally saw my work for the last two years, how am I as a person, how is my journey. They did a lot of research. In fact, when I met them they told me so much stuff about myself which I had forgotten that I did five years ago. (Photo: Instagram)

I am doing a film with them, a web show and have already shot for a travel series

It was really sweet and nice of them that they didn’t just invite me randomly. I am glad they saw my work and were fully prepared for who was coming from India. I signed with an agency. I am doing a film with them, a web show and have already shot for a travel series that is coming out right now. We have only seen K-dramas and have little knowledge of Korea. When you go there you realise there’s so much more. I got to know about their culture, music, and food. It’s amazing and they are very nice people. I am very excited that my international journey is happening. People are supporting me so much, it feels great. (Photo: Instagram)

Anushka on signing Korean projects - It was surreal and it is a big achievement for me

I was speechless when I was offered the project. I didn’t know how to react. It was surreal and it is a big achievement for me. When I went there I felt I was representing India. I spoke there a lot about our culture, I love to do that. Whenever I meet a foreigner I speak to them about our culture. India is so vast and people should know about our culture. I was so proud to be an Indian and be there. Their content is very different from ours and there is a language barrier, but the intentions and passion are the same. It was very easy for me to bond. After my second day, I felt I just lived there. They made me feel so welcomed. I felt like I was dreaming. (Photo: Instagram)

My goal in life is to do different projects

But soon I got used to it since I was on a business trip. I was meeting big companies and I was having big interviews for and meeting. Then I realised no it is reality and it’s happening. It feels so nice because I’ve been working for 11 years and I was working towards doing something different. My goal in life is to do different projects and to fulfil different challenges. I am very happy that I am getting such offers and people are trusting so much. It is huge and I feel God’s being kind. (Photo: Instagram)

Anushka on her work trip to Korea - I just loved every bit of my stay there

I just loved every bit of my stay there. I love shopping and eating. I just love trying their cuisine. If you see their cuisine in image, you’ll be confused whether you will like it or not because it is very different. But there are a lot of similarities in our food. There is this curry in Korea which is inspired from Indian curry. They told me it came from ancient Indian history. Our culture also has quite a lot of similarities. I loved shopping and meeting new people there. I’ve eaten so much there and I had a lot of fun. I am going there very soon because we are going to start a lot of new things there. (Photo: Instagram)
