Delnaaz Irani tests positive for COVID-19, says she is missing being on the set of her TV show

, underwent a test on Saturday and the reports came positive. Delnaaz says, “I was shooting till December 30 and we had an off for the next two days. On December 31, I started shivering, had a high fever and immense body pain. Percy (Karkaria, her boyfriend) and I decided to undergo a test. Fortunately, Percy tested negative, but I was positive.”

The actress is feeling dejected that the New Year has begun on a sour note, but she believes that the phase will be over soon. “I am feeling so miserable, as I have been extremely careful and strict with everyone on the set constantly telling them to wear masks and follow social distancing at all times. I feel extremely dejected, as it’s the beginning of the year. I am coming back after a long time and everything is perfect in terms of the role and the show. Par woh kehte hain na ki sab kuchh perfect hota hai toh nazar lag jaati hai. Shaayad mujhe khud ki lag gayi (smiles).”

She adds, “When I got my report, I cried like a child and Percy gave me the much-needed support. I am hoping to recover soon. Looking at the bright side, we have a bank of 12-13 episodes and this allows me to rest well. Both my producers have been checking on my health and they are extremely supportive and considerate. All my co-actors have been calling and messaging me, too. I am missing my set and hope to be back soon,” she ends on a positive note.

Producers Rajesh Ram and Pradeep Kumar tell us, “Actress Delnaaz Irani, who is an integral part of the Kabhi Kabhie Ittefaq Sey, has tested positive for COVID-19. As soon as the symptoms were detected, she received medical help and has quarantined herself. Immediately thereupon the entire cast and crew were isolated and tested. The BMC is informed and the sets will be fumigated and sterilized as per the protocol. Currently, the artiste is receiving medical attention and is under home quarantine. We are constantly in touch with the entire team as their health is our priority. We stand by our commitment to safety and will continue to ensure that all measures prescribed by the authorities are being adhered to.”
