Bigg Boss 19: Salman Khan indirectly reacts to Abhinav Kashyap’s comments; says ‘Log ajkal podcasts me aake kuch bhi bol rahe hai’
The latest episode of Bigg Boss 19’s Weekend Ka Vaar turned into a mix of celebration and controversy as host Salman Khan addressed recent remarks made by Dabangg director Abhinav Kashyap.
The episode began on a lighter note with Salman surprising contestant Tanya Mittal by warmly wishing her a happy birthday and presenting her with a special singhasan inside the house. Tanya, visibly emotional, expressed her heartfelt wish, saying she hoped Salman could become like family to her in Mumbai so she wouldn’t feel unsafe living there.
While interacting with the housemates, Salman took an indirect dig at Kashyap’s recent podcast statements. He said, “Jo sab mere saath attach huye hai ya huye the, aajkal unki bhi baj rahi hai. Baithe-baithe log kuch bhi and sand bol rahe hain jinse mera talluk raha hai, aur jinhone kabhi meri tareef ki hai. Ab they don’t quite like me anymore. Aajkal log podcast me aake utpatang baatein karte hai kyunki unke paas koi kaam nahi hai. My request to you all is — please koi kaam kar lo.”
He further advised the contestants to focus on work, adding, “No matter what, get up and go to work.”
For those unaware, Abhinav Kashyap recently made several shocking allegations against Salman in a podcast. He claimed that Salman not only took undue credit for Dabangg but also hinted at issues like addiction and manipulation. Kashyap also revisited old tensions, alleging that during the making of Tere Naam, Salman had created such difficulties for his brother, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, that he was forced to walk away from the project.
Abhinav accused Salman of “flattery and chamchagiri,” saying the superstar’s recent praise for Anurag’s new film Nishaanchi was just a strategy to silence critics.
Despite the tense undertone, the episode ended on a joyful note as Tanya made another fun wish, asking Shehbaz to play her role inside the house, while Amaal Malik sang a soulful song for her. The celebrations wrapped up with a lively performance by Pranit and Amaal, lighting up the stage with music and laughter.
