Bigg Boss 16: From first contestant reveal to theme this season; here’s all you need to know about the show

Bigg Boss 16 is just a week away from premiering this season and excitement is at its peak. The promos featuring host Salman Khan has also been raising eyebrows regarding what’s in store this season. While several names have been doing the rounds, this time some of the faces will be revealed prior to the premiere. Here’s all you need to know about this season:

This weekend, the channel revealed the first contestant of this season – Gautam Singh Vij. Gautam is a TV actor and has been a part of popular TV shows including Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2, Pinjara Khubsurti Ka, Tantra, Naamkarann and Ishq Subhan Allah. Interestingly, he started his career as a model and has been a part of the television industry for over 6 years.

The show is all set to premiere on October 1 at 9.30 pm. The premiere episode will be divided in two parts and air on Saturday and Sunday. The show will air 10pm onwards from Monday-Friday.

From Mocambo, Kancha Cheena to Gabbar, Salman Khan has been enacting several filmy roles in Bigg Boss 16 promos. He has been mouthing popular dialogues of the popular characters giving it BB16 twist.

The show’s main attraction ever since the promo released was – Bigg Boss will be playing along this time. The makers have been promoting the show with the tagline: ‘Game badlega kyunki Bigg Boss khud khelega’. However, it is not learnt if Bigg Boss will play physically along with the contestants.

Designer Omung Kumar is known to create opulent sets every season and this time too he is going to make one.

The makers will be revealing a few contestants before the show's premiere. After revealing the first contestant, they have shown another contestant with masked faces.

While several names have come up in the list, there's strong buzz that filmmaker Sajid Khan, social media sensation Just Sul, actress Sreejita De, Imlie fame Sumbul Touqeer, Qubool Hai fame Surbhi Jyoti might enter the show.
