Having Bengali movies with one of the most handsome actors playing cupid on-screen, love is certainly in the air. ‘Ismart Jodi’, hosted by none other than Jeet, is set to launch on Saturday. The couple-based show will welcome 10 real-life jodis who will play fun games with the host. While they will entertain the audience with their up-close and personal side on the TV screen, host Jeet will rekindle the romance. The most-awaited non-fiction show has raised curiosity ever since its very first promo went on-air. Just like the audience, host Jeet himself is excited about his new venture. Here’s what he has to say.
“Ismart Jodi is all about love and I am really excited to host the show. Here, we will celebrate love in the most beautiful way with 10 lovely couples. They will take us through their journey and share what love really means to them,” says the host. (Photo: Facebook)
Jeet has played a romantic hero in many movies, leaving his fans mesmerised with his charismatic persona. His single glance can make girls go weak on their knees. When asked what love means to him, Jeet says “Love is the most beautiful process. We say, Dhai Akshar Prem Ke but even two and a half crore would fall short to explain it. Love is something that we discover every day in a new way.” (Photo: Facebook)
The show will feature actor Abhishek Chatterjee and his wife Sanjukta. Abhishek attended the shoot on March 23 despite ill health. He couldn’t complete the shooting. Late at night, the actor breathed his last at home. “It’s a great loss for all of us. Abhishek Da and Sanjukta Boudi were among the participants. Abhsiehk Da was already unwell and couldn’t shoot on that day. We thought he would come back and complete the shoot later. I still can’t believe he is no more,” said Jeet with a heavy heart. The couple will be seen speaking about their relationship on the show. “They shot for two episodes which will soon go on-air. It’s hard to believe that Abhishek Da isn’t among us,” says Jeet. The makers are in search of another couple to introduce as the contestants. (Photo: Facebook)
“Ismart Jodi will be full of surprises and I am sure our audience will love it,” promised Jeet. He emphasised that the show will be different from other couple-based reality shows. “The real-life couples will take us on a beautiful journey. Viewers will witness some really beautiful moments and none of those were created. Whatever happens here, comes straight from the heart. Even I'm learning a lot from these couples.” Interestingly, couple-based shows aren’t new to the audience. While Ismart Jodi’s Telugu version has been a hit, a similar show has been launched on Hindi TV, featuring some of the leading celebs. (Photo: Facebook)
Among the 10 celebrity participants, ‘Ismart Jodi’ will also welcome viral song 'Kancha Badam' fame Bhuban Badyakar and his wife. The promo of Bhuban giving his wife a peck on cheek, went viral yet again. Speaking about the social media sensation, host Jeet said, “Yes, Bhuban Badyakar and his wife are among the participants. I had a great time shooting with them. In the coming episodes, we have thought of inviting people from their village too,” he adds. (Photo: Facebook)
